Works Like a Charm!
I have the silver version, mounted to the ceiling. The motion detector seems to cover a broad area, and is easily triggered by the opening garage door. It is also triggered by movement in the garage, which is to be expected. Installation was easy. For a ceiling installation one removes the baseplate (push down on the tab and slide the silver part toward the top of the black tab), marks three holes on the ceiling using the baseplate as a template, drill pilot holes, and screw the baseplate to the ceiling. I used a stud finder to be sure the screws hit wood. For a wall mount, they include the option of two strips of double-stick foam tape (not to be used for a ceiling mount). The cord on the AC transformer is long enough (8-9 feet?) to easily reach the ceiling outlet that was meant for an opener (I have a SideJack). The laser spot was bright, even with the garage door open in sunny Southern California. The lasers in their mounts are tight enough that the laser holds its position when set. Contrary to some complaints, the device shuts off promptly. You just have to hold still and make certain nothing is moving in the garage. The Maxsa Innovations 37312 laser guided parking device is inexpensive, less goofy than a tennis ball, and more accurate than the old ultra-sonic ones. It’s very handy if parking in your garage needs to be precise, due to limited space or obstacles. And for those people who don’t think they need one, may I suggest that perhaps someone else in the family might benefit from it.Installation note: Try to leave yourself enough room to get up on a ladder and adjust the laser while the car is parked in position. If the device is directly over the car, you may not be able to reach, and will have to adjust through repeat guesses, while the car is backed out of the way.

This one works well
I tried another device that I found on Amazon that looks just like this one, but the laser beams were too dim. This one, however, works perfectly. Bight beams! Turns on when it detects you car moving in, and turns off after 10 seconds. I love it.

Works, but not perfect.
This parking guide works to help locate a car in the same spot every time when parking in a garage by aiming a laser at a specific point on the car, in my case the dash board, and driving the car to that same spot. The laser is motion activated and that function works well. I have two small issues with this product. The description indicated it could be battery operated or electrically operated. Once I read the installation instructions I learned the battery is only designed as a back up power supply. This seems odd to me because if your power is interrupted, how would you operate the garage door, hence there seems like there is no application for this feature, at least for me. The point is, i had to find power to operate the device when I thought I could get away with batteries.Second issue is the gimble used to point the laser is restricted in it's range of motion to the point I could not aim it where I preferred. I am just living with the less than ideal spot on my dash.

Perfect for my wife's garage bay
I hope she doesn't read this post, but here it goes. (I do love you dear)My wife needed a way to know when she was far enough in the garage to shut the door. We couldn't have anymore "incidents". After looking around and trying different DIY solutions, like the tennis ball on a string and lines on the floor I needed something else. I needed something that was out of the way, I didn't trip on and still let her know when to stop backing up. That's when I turned here. Truly though, there are many options identical to this on Amazon, but I landed here based on reviews and price. I only needed one and this was it.This installed very easy and because there is a plug for your garage door opener (most likely) it has power right where I installed it. I lined it up to where I needed, screwed it in, plugged it in, and it turned on. Next, I pulled her car in to where it needed to be each time, got out the step stool, found a place on her dash as a reference going forward and pointed the laser at it. DONE.NOW...what are the issues. Unless you line it up EXACTLY where you want to point, you will have problems. This ONLY has up and down adjustment, not left and right. This is a problem for fine adjustments and initial install frustrations. It would be very easy to mount the laser on a ball mount to allow you these adjustments, but this DOES NOT have that feature. Once you get past that it is fine and the product works. All in all, the product does exactly what I bought it for. After a little install frustration in lining it up where I wanted it, it has been fine and has negated any more "incidents". Happy wife.

Works amazingly well for a great price
The motion detector works perfectly so far. The laser hasn’t moved. Not very easy to install and align laser while car is parked underneath it but still very well worth it.

Good at night, but bad during the day
My garage is pretty tall, like 20ft or so, so a lot of light comes in. The inside of my car is black and mixed with the bright sun, the laser light is invisible on my dash. I works great at night, but unless you have a white interior and less light flooding your garage, I don't recommend. Something is better than nothing I guess, but oh well.

Awesome parking aid.
I have had this in every house we’ve lived it. It’s the high tech version of the tennis ball and string. Cool thing is you can be very precise with it. We have a large garage but it’s narrow between vehicles. This allows us to pin point where to align our cars left and right to make sure we have adequate space between vehicles. Definitely highly recommend…easy install

Bright laser spot lights
The dual-lasers work well for the 30 seconds after they're triggered by the motion detector. They were easy to adjust to help us guide our single car into the garage. I took off a star because you cannot change the duration the lasers' light. I contacted the vendor, but they were unresponsive.

First impressions, a real review, works really well
I have a two-car garage with double doors. I was able to mount this unit easily. It seems to work just fine. Very happy so far, so we'll see how this holds up over time. I like the idea that there's a mounting plate (see comment below on using a #6 drywall screw-anchor).I just wanted to react to a bunch of comments. Related to positioning, a few of the reviews indicated that the laser is a bit stiff to move. This is true, although it was okay for me, and I love the idea that it will stay exactly where I point it. You don't want this moving around, so stiff is just perfect. I did not find that the rotational range was an issue at all. You need to mount it somewhere between the hood and windshield of your cars; if you do this, the range of positioning is just fine. Relating to size, it's just the right size. There are a bunch of reviews that seem to suggest there is no AC adapter. Odd, this whole thing comes in a plastic, fitted package. It contains an AC adapter, and the dual pointer has a 9 ft cable length. Some reviewers seem to suggest it dies when on battery. Yeah, uh, because it needs to be connected to an AC adapter for regular use. Super weird. And, somebody complained about the screws. Seriously? One consideration here is that the mounting plate has a recessed portion for the screw head, but it's shallow. But, pro tip: Use a proper drywall screw anchor #6, and the provided screws work well.

Utter rubbish
Actual value £5. Arrived and laser pods were not in their housing and impossible to fit. Hard brittle plastic cheap and nasty. I contacted seller for help and chased x2. No reply. Avoid, its a great idea but buy an alternative.

Easy to hook up
Works great, extra light when you enter garage. Lining up vehicles a bit finicky
