Easy use and storage
Sturdy with good size opening for no mess pouring of fluids. Holds plenty for a couple oil changes on my bike. It sits out of the way until full and take to a dump site.

Great Do-It-Yourself Mechanic Accessory
If you ever plan on changing a vehicle's fluids, you should have at least one of these if not more. I have two; they work great. They are a wonderful way to store fluids for transportation to a proper facility for recycling. Works for coolant, oil, power steering, brake fluid, as well as the ever pesky blinker fluid (just kidding). The seal on the lid is not the highest quality, but it is not designed for anything other than a splash from being moved. I would not trust these full and laying sideways on the floor, but if that level of protection during transport is what you are after perhaps a steel oil drum is more appropriate. In transit sitting upright in the trunk/cargo area they are great and have not leaked for me yet. They have a low center of gravity and wide enough base to keep them upright under normal driving conditions. I personally have not had a major concern about spillage in transit. To be clear these are not designed to capture fluids during removal, just for storage and transport after. The opening is just too small to be adequate for catching falling fluids without causing a bit of a mess. Use a good drain pan first and then transfer to this container.

Must have for do it yourself-ers!
I’m changing oil on 3 cars and a motorcycle on a frequent basis, about 20 quarts each time all in all. This’s the second one I’ve bought to accommodate the waste oil for disposal. Good capacity, no leaks, and easy to transport and store.

LEAKED from seam!
I just filled it for the first time, and oil leaked all over the garage from the seam on the body of the jug right below the handle. Had it too long before filling it up to be able to return it. This jug is way too expensive for this to happen. DO NOT BUY THIS POS!

Seems solid...but the cap is a little stubborn.
So, I read some reviews about this having some leaks. The first thing I did when I got was to get a flashlight and going in a dark room and shining the light inside the jug. I didn't see and light coming from the inside so it looks leak-free. The other thing I heard about the cap is correct. You have to get exactly on the threads or it wont seal tight. Other than that particular thing it seems OK. Already put some oil in. If there are any changes I will update the review.

It's a jug, for oil
I bought this so I could stop putting my used motor oil in milk jugs and such. This is a good sized sturdy jug with a wide mouth, and it's large enough to hold the oil from my two cars that take 8 quarts. There's really nothing to complain about, other than maybe that the jug isn't clear, so you can't easily see how full it is. But you can just pick it up or take the cap off and look, so that's not even worth taking off a star. If you're doing your own oil changes, a jug like this is a must have so you can safely store the old stuff until you can drop it off somewhere.
