I picked up the FIXD Bluetooth OBD2 Scanner after getting tired of borrowing or paying for code reads, and I’m glad I made the switch.Pros:Works Well & Instantly – Plugged it into my vehicle and it connected with the app right away. Easy setup. While I have worked on cars over the years this is the first time I had a chance to use a code reader product to confirm or deny what I thought the problem was. Ran the diagnostics and provided a couple possible problems. Phone app provides other features to record mechanical picture of my old truck. Includes recommended maintenance to be performed based on readings it took from the computer and entries I made. Good product. Sent email with video explaining the suspect system and probable solutions. Bought and replaced 2 parts for under $100 saving mechanic labor.

For someone who considers himself a DIY’er, this thing is awesome. First, you don’t need the purchase the extras if you’re going to do it yourself. But if you do, the extras it offers is AWESOME. The codes and descriptions are accurate and easy to look up with the description accurate on the issue.Anyone who does need help, those extras seem like they are work either the monthly or yearly membership. However, I’m not sure how reliable or accurate the recommendations it gives you from prices to the actual mechanic themselves. Because it gives you an idea who, where and price is awesome (or that’s how I feel) because if my son needs to use this while I’m gone, it’s pretty good to give him an idea and not worry to much.Cool little gadget for the price!1997 Ford Ranger XLT 4cy (my truck I use it for).

Absolutely worth the money!! Potentially saved me thousands of dollars and wasted time (in the shop). I used this to weed out bad used vehicles when looking for another vehicle for the family. It's simple, easy and forthright. It tells you the problems in plain language, not codes you have to decipher. I give 6 stars!!!

Works great! Had a check engine light on from before the motor was replaced. Thanks to this I knew why the light was on and was able to clear it as the issue was resolved. Very quick and easy to use!

This is a must have for your car! It saves you money and lets you know immediately if you should go straight to the mechanic or if its not really a big issue. With the codes they give you, you can sometimes figure out the problem, BUY THE PARTS YOU NEED YOURSELF and then go to the dealership with the parts in hand to reduce costs.

Yet another company who chooses to use manipulative psychologic sales strategies to sell you a subscription that you feel is needed to make this product “worthwhile”Although they are truthfully selling a subscription service more-so then a device that actually does everything they promise, it does come with some fairly standard functions that you’ll be able to use. However, if you vehicle does not support a reading or measurement that is available within the device’s capabilities you simply cannot use it. This is mostly frustrating because i believe the price is mostly for the app you HAVE to download to even use to even access the features of this device, and without a subscription you get left with not much functionality.So to sum it up, you risk getting your data sold from an app you have to download to even have access to the devices features, have to make the initial purchase of the device itself to even use the app, but also get forced into the mindset of needing a subscription so that you can truly use the device for whats it capable of. AND probably the most upsetting aspect about of all it is that the subscription is (as of writing this review) 12.99 monthly or 99.99 yearly, 100 DOLLARS. IF you do buy this, you must understand that it will be costly to have all features available to you.I do not like being negative in life, or try to come across as a bad person due to speaking how i feel even if it seems of poor taste or stature, so something good thar i can say about all of it is that at least you have an app to look at instead of a standalone screen part of the reader, also the feature to have measurements active within the app to look at temps, RPM, or whatever you choose to display.

Product works great. My check Engine light came on so I tried this out and it immediately told me the codes. I even got the shop to waive the diagnostic fee since I told them all of the codes myself!
