Essential Oil Beauty Secrets: Make Beauty Products at Home for Skin Care, Hair Care, Lip Care, Nail Care and Body Massage for Glowing, Radiant Skin and Shiny Hairs

This is a good reference for the hobby user looking to make these things at home for whatever reason. My skin care products were not doing it for me. I had recently started using oils, and I wanted to try to custom design a regimen for myself. This book is a good start for that. Since reading this book, I have gone even deeper into various carrier oils and creams and what each one brings to the table, but this book will give you enough good information to design, build, and tweak a really good line just for you, and other custom products for others in your family with needs different from your own. I recommend this for the serious oil hobbyist.

I learned a lot about essential oils from this book and it has a few nice recipes for homemade facial serums and others as well. I have already begun to use my first homemade serum and so far so good. It is wise to write down the exact amounts you use as you personalize your serum so you can know what needs to be changed if anything. It sure beats the cost of purchasing it! The ingredients are an investment as well but the rewards are a lot of savings and it will pay for itself in no time at all.

Not sure what to think about this book. It is certainly NOT what I expected and Id go so far as to say it is NOT what the title claims. Whomever the I(Indian woman is that wrote this book, needs to fire her publisher because this is the most poorly written book EVER.

This book is so disappointing. First off it is written in giant print with lots grammatical errors in it. She does not provide a bibliography so you have to take her word that this information is accurate. This book also shows that the author doesn't know very much about essential oils. She has carrier oils listed with in her essential oils. I also found a lot of this information is actually incorrect. There is also no index for looking up the recipes. Many of the recipes also have you using large amounts of essential oils. With essential oils a little goes a long way and more is not better. The amounts she recommends in some of her recipes are more in line with using fragrance oils instead of essential oils. There are much better books out there about essential oils. This is NOT one of them. DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK.

I was looking for information on making lotion and oils. This is mostly for hair and facial cleansing kinda stuff. Not happy I bought a hard copy. But it does have some good information.

This book is written in huge print to make it appear as a real "book". what a scam. More like a pamphlet.

Wonderful book packed with information, cant wait to get started on the recipes!

likes: we have a bunch of cool recipes to try, but the focus is mainly on listing essential oils and their benefits. for balance i would have liked to see more options on the recipes. For example on the face masks section it lacks recipes that require clay as an ingredient. most of those recipes you can just look online and make them yourself. this was disappointing because if you are like me you like the idea of making a batch that can be shelfed for at least two months for easy convience.dislikes: i really did not like the so called "sugar" scrub recipes that should be called salt scrub. they are two different things. there was one recipe that did allow a tsp of sugar, but technically the majority is salt. this indicates that the author or editor are lazy and did not check this important error before publication.sorry, but true.i did like the shampoo/conditioner recipes as well as the lip balm, but i am curious... does a person really need so many different message oil recipes for every part of the body? like i get a foot message oil recipe...and a back one...but shoulder? meh maybe it is just me.
