Excellent Mount - Very Sturdy over 1500+ miles
Very nice bike rack, very sturdy when properly mounted (mounted on my Lexus GS 350 and fits nearly perfectly). I drove 1500 miles over the course of a week with my road bike attached and had zero issues at all driving some very treacherous back roads in West Virginia as well. At one point I did have 2 bikes mounted for a few hours and didn't have any issues. I did have to tight the lower 2 straps after adding a 2nd bike since the mount sat a half inch lower but again no problems and I highly recommend this mount for long trips. When properly secured there is virtually no movement of the bike or mount when driven under normal conditions (say under 85 mph and normal speeds around curves). After my 1st initial mounting I believe I could likely install this next time in about 20 minutes and just a couple more minutes to secure the bike. Make sure you tighten every strap as tight as possible both before and after mounting the bike. I would also recommend wrapping the straps around the mount and tying them off tightly to prevent them from unraveling and also as added protection if the clasps were to randomly break or give away. The mount comes with one extra long 7th strap that should be used to secure the the wheels and bottom of the frame to the mount to prevent it from swaying or bouncing off the mount. The only negative I experienced is likely specific to my car model, the tiny lip spolier on my car comees within about a quarter inch of the mount. I wish the mount came with some protective foam in this region of the mount so that there wouldn't be any metal bars rubbing on the spoiler but not the end of the world, I just wrapped some of the excess straps around that area and it did the trick.

Great Rack, Best for the Money!
I have used some of my friend's more expensive racks and really cannot see what makes them cost so much more. I use this rack on a 2000 Acura TL and it fits perfectly without leaving any dents or scratches. This rack is very sturdy, reliable, and setting it up for your car takes but a minute. The one thing about this rack is that I don't think it could hold two bikes. Not because it can't handle it, but because the second bike might be too close to your car if not on your car. That is just my observation. I have not had the need nor do I think I will have the need to use two bikes on it, but, if you do, then you might want to look around and see how it will fit on your car because two bikes would not fit on mine. Nonetheless, I give this rack five stars because it performs very well and covers my needs perfectly. It is just as sturdy and reliable as the higher priced racks so don't waste your money on anything else, this rack will do everything you need it to. I am very happy with it.

Simple bike rack, but too shallow
This is really painfully simple to set up and use. Only issue, as other reviewers have indicated, is that it might be a bit too compact to put two substantial bikes on it.A Trek hybrid and a Giant mountain bike rode on this on the back of a 2006 VW Passat and it took 25 minutes to figure out how to mount the bikes in a way that wouldn't destroy the bumper or have us risk losing a bike. 25 very frustrated, sweaty, profane minutes.However... once this method was determined, subsequent loads and unloads took 2-3 minutes. The bikes were on there... I had no concern they were going anywhere. They were solid. One of the things we had to do was double wrap some very heavy wool socks around one pedal because there was no way to have it NOT rub the bumper. It left no mark, but this is a pain.it does its job, it protects the bikes well, it is super simple to actually mount to the car... and it's 5-stars no problem for one bike. If you have two, though, be prepared to fuss with it for a bit on your first go.

Don't risk the damage to your car
I just purchase a 2024 Subaru Outback and since they no longer come with a hitch from the factory, I thought I'd try this option. Let me be your voice of reason. DO NOT put this rack on your car. The top right hook that you attach to the top of the liftgate was defective. When I opened the rear hatch (which btw, seemed like it would work just fine) the hook caught and the bent the roof AND the rear hatch. I would no longer recommend this or ANY rack you attach to the back of the car. Also, be aware that I contacted the company and this was the response: "Per our warranty policy, Hollywood Racks does not cover problems caused by normal wear and tear including (but not limited to) weather, scratches, dents, rust, accidents, unlawful vehicle operation, misuse, abuse, neglect, theft, unauthorized modifications, or unauthorized repair. No warranty is given for defects resulting in incorrect assembly, incorrect installation onto the vehicle, installation on a “no fit” vehicle, incorrect attachment of bicycles onto the rack, or overloading of the rack’s weight restrictions." Pretty much, if the rack causes any damage it's your fault. Now it's $2500.00 to get body work done. So dissapointing, but I learned a really good life lesson I guess. Hopefully, you won't have to.
