Very well made, beautiful knife
Very well made knife, I love it. It fits comfortably in my hand, the sheath is amazing, they both look spectacular. I have a fairly large hand and the handle isn’t too big or too small. I can honestly say that this is one of the best purchases I’ve made.

Garbage--basically this knife is a prop/novelty and nothing more
On one hand I was aware that with most knife blades, especially claimed damascus, what you pay for is what you get. With this, however, it was much worse. The blade edge came in horrible, defective condition. The top inch or so of the blade edge closest to the tip was so dull it was rounded, and the last half inch or so of the blade edge closest to the handle was literally flattened somehow, as if somebody making the edge literally smashed the knife edge perpendicular on the sharpener. The middle portion of the blade had somewhat of an edge, although it was quite dull. The handle looked to be of ok quality though, and the knife is admittedly pretty good looking. The leather shealth, on the other hand, was surprisingly well made and nice looking, no complaints there. This all said, I cannot say this knife has any practical function AT ALL, so if you want to buy it just know it is of no value except perhaps as some sort of prop or novelty, nothing more. After I already bought the knife, I asked what the blade is actually made out of, because it does not say, and one guy said it's just made out of pounded stainless steel cable. No clue whether that is true or not, but it wouldn't surprise me due to how crummy it is. Very happy Amazon let me return it!

An honest review
So, the knife looks cool there is no question. I'm not an expert so I can't verify if it's actually Damascus steal or not, but it looks the part. The leather sheath: This probably is my favorite part. It's nice, really stunning and funtions perfect for horizontal and vertical carry. The blade: Not sharp when it arrives I've read some reviews that it was ... Our definitions of sharp might be just different.... But it's not. However, if you know what you're doing it will get sharp in 10-20 mins of sharpening. If you don't know what youre doing, Google it. The blade is longer then I expected and also thicker. I have no real issues with either and like the thickness, but I probably would have preferred a smaller blade as becuase of this the knife is not well balenced.Handle: look I have small hands and this blades handel is thin and short. To a point where I think it's too small. Some finger grooves and even a inch to half in length would do this blade well.Overall: it's a sweet looking and weighty knife. The weight feels good in hand if it was balenced it would feel better. I obviously have some issues but in general it was a good purchase for 50-60 bucks.

Laser Etching or Damascus??? That's the question of the day!!!
Let me first start by saying 'I'm not sure if this is Damascus'. I'm a little concerned with the spine of the knife were the handle meets the Blade. On the top half there's what appears to be incomplete spiraling etch marks marks. This could possibly be laser Engraving. On the bottom side of the handle it's unblemished. Since up red flags in my head on whether or not it's true Damascus! I mostly bought this knife for the sheath, which itself is well built. I was building a knife and I needed a good quality sheath that had all the characteristics that this one has. I could either by the sheath alone, or for I think $9 more I could get it with a knife in! That was a no-brainer to me... I'm keeping the knife and the sheath is going with the knife I made for a customer. I am concerned about its authenticity I'm going to have to do a little research to figure this one out but if I have to make a judgment call right now I'd say it's a laser etched. Aside from that I'm very happy with a knife it only cost me nine bucks it came pretty Sharp do I have yet to field test it

Beautiful Butter Knife lol
First off, this knife is exactly what you see in the pictures, beautiful, well made knife. No complaints about the craftsmanship at all. I chose the ram horn handle and its smooth and fits perfectly in the hand, very nice grip. Now for the sheath, it is a good quality sheath from what I can tell. Buttons for belt straps are nice and polished and clip together easily. Stitching is all straight and evenly spaced. However, when I have it horizontally strapped on my belt, the strap closest to the tip of sheath will only close on one button as the farthest one wont reach all the way around (actually it will reach but may deform belt over time as it is extremely tight on 2 inch belt). It still sits securely on the belt though so not a big deal to me.My one and only real complaint about this knife is that I'm pretty sure I have a butter knife in the kitchen that's sharper than this blade. I've read other people said theirs were razor sharp, but mine is only sharp in the curve of blade next to handle, where the actual edge of blade starts. That little part of the blade removed hair from my arm so maybe they started sharpening and quit on mine? The rest of the blade wouldn't cut the amazon box it came in.All in all, good purchase and happy I made it. I would recommend this knife to others, if you know how to sharpen a knife decently. I'm pretty sure Ill be able to get a good edge on this blade without too much trouble.

The handle was defective
I only gave it a 2 stars because the handle on the right side was not much more than just a sliver where as the other side was just fine. It's to much of a hassle to return it and the steel part was just fine but I would not buy anything else from Grace Knives.
