Great for crescent roll pigs-in-a-blanket!
I was a bit apprehensive after reading mixed reviews on using crescent roll dough with silicone baking molds, but I loved the results of my pigs-in-a-blanket in these pig molds!A few tips on making pigs-in-a-blanket with crescent dough:- Use Hillshire Farm Lit’l Smokies cocktail sausages and with Pillsbury crescent dough. I wouldn’t suggest subbing out for a generic brand unless you’ve tried it before and like it; pigs-in-a-blanket are enough of a labor of love that you don’t want to make something with an icky taste.- If you can, get crescent sheets rather than pre-sectioned triangles—you’ll want rectangles to press into the mold, not triangles. I couldn’t find the solid sheets and used the crescent roll dough triangles instead; it worked, but it was harder.- Be sure to press the descent roll dough down into all the little details and nooks of the mold so the pig shape is clear. They were so cute!- Cut the Lit’l Smokies sausages in half lengthwise. They’re super bulky and don’t sit flat once removed from the molds and flipped over if you use the sausages whole.- Build pigs-in-a-blanket directly into the mold, rather than wrapping them and only then trying to press them into the mold. It’s much more difficult to smoosh in wrapped Smokies, and it’s also harder to tell whether or not they’ve been fully pressed into all the little nooks/details if you do.- For assembly, put a piece of crescent dough down that’s a little larger than the mold, then popping in a Lit’l Smokies sausage, and then folding the rest of the crescent dough segment over the top of the sausage to seal it. Hence, why you’ll want rectangles and not triangles, if at all possible.- I’ll update this next time I make them, but I think I just followed the baking instructions in the regular pigs in a blanket recipe from Hillshire Farm. Their website’s recipe for regular pigs-in-a-blanket with crescent roll dough (not in a mold) says 400 degrees for 9–10 minutes.- Consider buying two sets of the molds. I liked having four total to work with.- Dipping sauces really take pigs-in-a-blanket to the next level, so serve them with two or three tasty ones. My family loves barbecue sauce and Chick-fil-A sauce, but I’m sure ketchup, mustard, and many gourmet sauces and dips would be wonderful too.- Make these pigs-in-a-blanket for a big gathering for extra “wow” factor. I made ours for a New Year’s Eve party and had several comments on how cute they were! One final thing of note is that the molds closest to the hotter part of our oven did get a little discolored, probably from the grease in the crescent dough. I don’t find it affects their performance, though, so I personally don’t care.I LOVED these little pig molds for making pigs-in-a-blanket with crescent rolls, and I think you will too!

I LOVE my piggies
These are adorable. You do need to have a big enough area to lay the trays out, i used a baking sheet. I placed it in the freezer first and poured in a bottled water. They came out WAY more detailed than I imagined. Especially the face is just adorable and you can see the eyes and nostrils. 10/10 would buy again

Not big enough to put little hot dogs in!
Item was presented as same as the original design, but is smaller so the hotdogs don’t fit!

Easy to use and wash. 5 year old grand daughter was delighted with her "pigs in a blanket".

Recipe?
Appeared to get one that has been previously returned. No recipe, molds in large bag. They work fine, but I can’t find the recipe for the right amount of pancake mix online.
