Stuff works AMAZINGLY !Sister gifted me a used washer she bought, since mine had died. Was SO excited.Yet Everytime I washed a load, the clothes STUNK.It was a regular top loader.My own machine had never had that problem.I threw out the laundry soap, thinking that was it.I had washed the washer with a gallon of vinegar in the filled tub (no clothes). Twice. Clothes still stunk.Tried a hot water full tub fill with bleach. Clothes still smelled badly.Worze than when I put them in dirty !Tried odor killers with the clothing. Special odor busting detergents.Even washed clothing mult. times, with a white vinegar final rinse.NOTHING solved the smelly clothes problem.My son suggested your product. He had read about it.IT WORKED !!!!!!!!!!!I put TWO capfulls in ( wasn't taking any chances !) the filled tub per instructions !OMG! Clean smelling clothes !I had thought I was going to have to stop using the new " used" washer. After my sister had driven it almost 3 hours to me , and spent her hard earned money, so I could finally have a washer and dryer again.I also thought I would have to throw any clothes I had washed in the washer OUT.Which meant 80% of what I owned.My son had washed his clothing when visited, and had stinky clothes also.Now his are smelling good again!Whew. That was close !This amazing product saved the gifted washer, my clothing, and my son's clothing.I LOVE this and won't be without it. I ordered two containers to start.I am ordering more. This stuff really works. Front load washers are prone to developing an unpleasant smell, and running an empty load on the hottest setting with this product works! Towels had developed a musty smell and the next washing fix it!!!JUST BUT IT AND SEE.

I was using a much more expensive product that I bought in a big discount department store. Then I saw Smelly Washer advertised on the Internet. Given the economical price per treatment I figured I had to try it. I'd be a fool not to try it. The other stuff cost 6 or more times as much and it wasn't really working all that well.I will sound like a shill but I don't care because it's absolutely true that this product not only works, it works better than the high priced product! That has been my experience.My front-load GE washer used to have a musty, moldy odor. I used expensive cleaner and it worked okay, but only for a couple of weeks. The moldy smell returned rather quickly so I had to use the expensive cleaner again. And again. And again. But the benefits never seemed to last.So when I had used the last tablet of the other stuff, I tried Smelly Washer. Despite the dumb name and tacky label the product delivers. It eliminates the odors and the results last longer. I am very happy to have discovered this product and I hope like heck that the manufacturer doesn't reevaluate the price vs. the competition and get greedy.

Well, I was having problems with smell in my washer, like everyone else it seems. A big problem when it causes something like my professional costume to start smelling! I had already done a lot of reading on how to take care of a front loader and was already following all the advice, though I honestly was not aware you are supposed to run a "sanitary" cycle from time to time. I think I had a guest come a few days and she didn't know to keep the door open, so I started having problems. Anyway, I decided I needed something more powerful, as the other things I had tried weren't working and I still had a smell (vinegar, bleach, etc). So, I decided to try this product. My washer doesn't have any way to do a hot soak like the manufacturer suggests, so I just ran it on an extra long load, extra rinse, hot water with this product added. I ran it twice and it took care of the problem. Since that time, I've made sure to run at least one load a week on the hottest setting, usually I use my towels. (Apparently the hot water keeps the soap from building up, which causes the mold to grow, and thus the smell.) I'll probably run this once a month or so as a preventative. I've had a hard time finding a powder HE detergent, which would probably help. A couple of times, when I have had smelly towels, I went ahead an added this product and it helped with those smells too. Well worth the money, I'll probably keep using it once a month to make sure the problem doesn't come back.I think you should note that the manufacturer states this is for smelly washing machines, which is due to mold growth. I've noticed a few reviews on this site where people said they tried it on other smelly items (old clothes, etc) and then gave it a bad review for not working. They don't guarantee it works on every kind of smell, so that really isn't fair in my book. You need to review it based on the claims of the company, not what you decided to use it for.

This is my second purchase of the Smelly Washer powder, because I found it very effective in the past. On this order, my item arrived with a damaged cap (which is frustrating not only because I'd like to have a working cap to close the product and prevent spills, but because the directions are to use the cap to measure the appropriate amount of product). I tried to return the item through amazon and received the message this item is not eligible for replacement or refund. I would like an undamanged working cap for my product. I am hoping that leaving this feedback here will prompt the company to offer an email or 1-800# so I may contact them and resolve the issue.

Easy to use on washing machine & dishwasher as part of general maintenance. Best dishwasher cleaner I have used to date. Lovely clean fresh scent after use. Will buy again! Will also be investigating other possible uses.

BUY THIS PRODUCT if you are sick of having a smelly washer.OK, so you have a front load washer that has acquired the smell. You have bleached all the trays, cleaned inside the rubber seal and removed all visible mold. You have tried all the products that don't work and are about to give up.Buy this product, did I say that before? Add the product to the soap tray and do what it says on the bottle and the smell will be GONE IMMEDIATELY. If you have clothing or towels that have acquired a musty smell from being washed, you can add this product to the soap for the next load and the smell will be greatly reduced or gone.It should be noted that once your washer has acquired the mold and smell you can only remove it permanently with a major repair, but this product will, when used about once per month eliminate all traces of the smell from your washer and its surrounding area and will keep it from accumulating in your clothes. You already never leave wet laundry in the drum and you always leave the door open a little, right? If so, start using this product and enjoy your smell free washer. If you stop using it, the smell will return but you only need to do it once a month. No change in the color of your clothes or fabrics.BUY THIS. You will be glad you did.

Having been a customer of Smellywasher ever since it was Purewash, I knew that the instructions that came with the product were only for maintaining the machine.To get the smell gone from your machine, Place about four times as much of the powder as recommended into the powder drawer (after taking it out and washing it well).Place the machine on its hottest cycle, and them wait till it fills with hot water and agitates the powder well.Then turn the machine off and fill the machine to half way up the drum with hot water, and then leave over night.(this is because the mould inside is usually above the "tide level" of the main wash)In the morning, turn the machine back on and finish the wash cycle.You may have to do this a few times, to make sure any mould inside is washed away.Done this on three different machines for friends and family and works every time. ;-)

This is the second time that I have purchased this product for our front load washer and it works!If you or "yours" have ever neglected a wet washer load, (especially towels or kitchen linens) then definitely purchase the Smelly Towel Cleaner as well. Your "stuff" will come out of the wash smelling better then new. I have not experienced any fading or degradation of fabric fibres whatsoever.

I bought this product as i had a very bad smell in my washing machine which could be smelt in the living room,front hall and kitchen so when i saw this product i did exactly as it said on the instructions and it worked like magic.The smell is now gone and i intend to use this product once a month so that it never comes back.I would recommend this product to everyone that has a smelly washing machine.Thank you.
