Emma lives in a small basement studio in Brooklyn with her three Persian cats that she rescued from a dumpster . Emma hasn’t had an easy life loosing both her parents she was brought up by her grandparents . Her main aim in life is to work hard and pay back her student loans . Her best friend Kendall has been trying to get her have a life outside her work & cats and is always telling her she needs a man in her life . Kendall manages to persuade Emma to try on line dating which she does and manages to arranges date . When the date day arrives things don’t go as planned . Marcus Carelli is an extremely wealthy man with his own business called , Carelli Capital Management , he too didn’t have a stellar upbringing , if it wasn’t for a teacher who took him under his wing then Marcus would have probably taken a different path in life . Although very successful at what he does ,he longs for a family life . As he works very long hours meeting the right woman who’s not only with him for his money is very difficult . His friend Ashton suggests a professional matchmaker who only deals in matching wealthy clients with similar people ,after meeting the matchmaker a date is arranged . Like Emma something very unexpected happens when Marcus goes to meet his date !! . Sorry no spoilers I’ll leave my review there, only to say I’m a massive fan of Anna & Dima’s books although this is a little different from their other books the sex is still as hot hot hot phew 🔥🔥🔥🔥and i thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The story is beautiful written with a smattering if humour and what can I say about the Persian cats they are adorable , waiting now patiently for book 2 ......it’s already on pre - order . 😉

I've had this book on my tbr list for a long while now and decided to give it a go tonight.....there should be a health warning with this one....warning lack of sleep impending!!!! Because seriously I couldn't put it down, I kept saying just one more chapter and then suddenly its 1.30am oppps. Brilliant, loved it, crazy cat lady meets billionaire but add in crazy emotions and underlining bad childhoods, you are left with a book that literally won't let you out of its jaws or paws however you want to look at it lol...now where's book 2.....oh maybe I should attempt sleep first?!?!

I liked the idea of two people from such different financial backgrounds finding true love, but this guy is a typical self centred rich guy. Everything revolves around how he's feeling and how money can help him win her round. Until hes tired of her of course.Personally i hope she's done with him.

The story is really stupid!A ridiculous rich man falling in love with an ordinary poor woman can never happen in real life!

I’m all for a bit of healthy first lust, but this presents Marcus as having so many red flags as a potential abuser it’s not even funny. He has no self awareness about these things either, which seems to be presented as making it all ok. And while I’m actually pleased that Emma has some second thoughts- none of them are about the things which should be making her run a mile. There’s too little beyond the physical to make me invested in this relationship and I genuinely worry if anyone reading this thinks it’s romantic rather than a huge worry!

This is a nice uncomplicated live story. But, I hadn't realised it was the first of a series and was pretty annoyed when I got to the end. Had I known now I would not have read it until the series was finished.

This was an amazing intense read, thank goodness I can start reading the next one. My Anxiety through the roof 😬

Omg I cannot believe it end like that! I need to read book 2 like now! I need to know what Marcus does next! Does he follow her to Florida? He better! I loved their romance! I loved Marcus! I loved that he wasn’t such an a-hole but he kind of was when he distanced himself but distance makes a woman go crazy! I loved Emma! I loved her cats! I loved Kendall too and her grandparents!
