Awesome solution to water damaged wood walls.
We got this to patch a couple areas on our boat that were severely water damaged. It matched the existing veneer and went on flawlessly. The repair looks great and very professional despite our being veneer noobs. We're now looking for other places to fix. One word of caution, the adhesive backing is brutally effective. Be very careful in your positioning as once you press this stuff into position it's there to stay. All-in, it's fun to use and gives a beautiful result.

This stuff is amazing
I‘ve never veneered anything in my life. I fix old radios but I never attempted to scrape off the veneer of one of their cabinets and apply new veneer. This inexpensive veneer is self adhesive. I figured I’d end up having to glue it anyway. Nope. It’s bond is very strong and it was so easy to cut. The only downside is that it comes rolled. I laid it flat and put weight on it for 48 hours to flatten it out. That worked. I cut what I needed for the radio and slowly adhered it to the radio cabinet. I was able to peel and re-adhere it several times. The final time it stuck to the wood and never came off. I sanded the heck out of it and stained and varnished it. No problems at all. I’m so happy with the result.

My first time replacing veneer, and it worked fine
This worked as advertised, and I had never done veneer replacement before. Sorry, I should have taken a before picture of the trunk. I found that starting it at one end, then slowly dropping it down (like putting on wallpaper) worked fine, followed by weighting it down all over, including climbing on a few times. That glue does not seem like it will give you a second chance. I also took it out of the box to flatten out about a month in advance. The wood itself had no problems, and the grain sections had some differences that are not showing through the stain in any bad way. So, for the novices, watch some videos and give it a try (this came with no instructions at all).

Quality wood and great adhesive
I used the veneer to replace an area near a window that had been slightly left open for some time without me know it. I attempted to match the other paneling and it came out good considering I chose a stain too dark even though testing 9 strips of the new veneer.Adhesion is incredibly strong,,, you have 1 chance to apply and that is it, I had no problem.. just start slowly. All in all.. super product

Good quality, easy to cut
Looks great, easy to cut using a regular utility knife. I used a good utility knife not the snap off blade type. Was able to sand, stain and epoxy coat the wood. Also added more contact cement for better adhesion.
