Very Steady in 20 mph winds.The umbrella is well built. It is very well packaged and protected. Very easy to assemble as well. Maybe 10 min tops.I filled the each side of the base with water ( no sand) only and it still was very stable. I would guess about 200 pounds total. Just have to drain it in the winter. There are drain plugs on each side. The swivel feature is fantastic, very easy to move with the crank.Between swivel and tilt , there are lots of options to follow the sun, and keep everyone in the shade.I had reservations about this purchase, but it totally exceeded expectations. 5 star for sue.

We were very lucky to get 19 years out of our first cantilever umbrella (only $200 in 2003 …with Sunbrella fabric!). Encouraged by all the Purple Leaf positive reviews I purchased their much more expensive 11 foot round, double-top umbrella with Sunbrella fabric.(Interestingly Sunbrella fabric was only available from PL’s Amazon site, not their company website.)Looks to be a substantial, high quality umbrella, so maybe it will last 19 years also!A crossbar base wasn’t an option with this double-top umbrella so I opted for the steel plate base. The weighted base was too big and bulky for our deck.PL’s assembly instructions for the steel base plate made no mention for the need to reinforce a deck. Our wood deck is only 1” thick. I wasn’t convinced the lag screws PL included would do the job in gusty winds. I found a couple YouTube videos (not produced by PL) that described a more robust way to secure a base plate to a wood deck. I attached 2 x 6’s to the underside of the deck and secured the base plate with 3.5” stainless steel carriage bolts and washers -through the deck and the 2 x 6’s (see photo).PROShigh quality workmanshipSunbrella fabric optionsuperior customer service -Plastic Cover Plate arrived cracked. We love the umbrella. The material is very nice. We only put it together to check it out and make sure everything was ok. We did receive it with 2 broken parts but we contacted the company right away and we received new parts within a week. Very nice to deal with. We will try it out on our deck in another month when the weather gets warmer as we live in Northern Illinois. I highly recommend this company.

Umbrellas are beautiful and with the rolling stand we got with it, I have no trouble pushing it around where I need to. We filled with about 200lbs sand each. Rolling base is sold separately and we went with the sunbrella fabric. Worth every penny on those two upgrades. Easy to put together and only need a second person to guide the end onto the base. No regrets. You will love these. Haven't tested in heavy wind yet. We plan in getting 2 more.

The umbrella was super easy to set up and works so well. The amount of sand to use was our biggest question. Would be nice if the specs on the base said the number of pounds to use for a half fill. Purple leaf customer service was fabulous. Emily stayed in communication with me answering all my questions sometimes the response even came in the middle of the night. AWESOME.

Great sturdy umbrella. Easy to use and holds up in all weather. Had an issue with cover and customer service was very helpful and prompt to correct the issue. Have two of the 10 footers and they are very durable.

After lots of research both locally and on-line I'm really pleased with the Purple Leaf 11' Sunbrella umbrella. I echo the other reviews, high quality, easy to assemble, and smooth to operate. I had a minor problem with a small run in the Sunbrella canopy and Purple Leaf customer service had a new canopy sent to me within 4 days. I also purchased Purple Leaf's rolling base which is simple to use and rolls easy on our patio with it's commercial quality wheels. Don't hesitate to purchase.... It's that good.

We've had our umbrella for a month or so and use it a lot. We have the one with the two sided (though connected) base. It holds a lot of sand and is balanced, even in our very windy weather. We also have already had some pretty hot days, and it makes a huge difference. It looks great and functions well. I only gave it a 4 out of 5 for price because every.dang.thing is so.dang.expensive right now. Shocking how much an umbrella can cost. However, it is a quality product, and I'd rather that than a cheap product. I also like the way it hangs flat against the post with a velcro band around the umbrella. I find it looks a lot better than the ones that hang like a bat and flop around a lot.
