Easy to install. Easy to use. Works great.

It’s good quality and does its job. The only thing I would note is that once this item is installed, the saddle mount and the end of the bar (when tilted up) are in the same level. My toddler slammed the door open causing the end of the bar to hit the saddle mount. This bends the vertical points on the saddle mount. Nothing earth shattering, but annoying. Looks nice. Easy to install and adjust. Easy to use.

Was perfect. I didn't want to put screws in my sliding door so I used Hot Glue to hold the little thing that holds the tip. I didn't think it would work but it did, for 3 days. So I used 3M super strength molding tape. That will hold forever. The makers of this product should reach out to 3M and make a pre-cut piece of tape part of this package.

Wish I had read the reviews before purchasing. As some have said, this bar appears well constructed, but is not for all types of sliding glass doors. As I was going to install it, I realized that the bracket that goes against the actual door side is too wide to fit into the groove. If you have a flat side to your sliding glass door I would assume it would work perfectly, but if you have the groove on the side of the door it creates two issues. 1- the bracket is too wide to fit between the door grooves (and there is no spacer bracket in the packet, which would likely fix the problem) 2- due to the groove the opening where the bar is going is appr. 34 1/4" which makes it just a tad too long. Without extension says it goes to 34" and with extension it says it starts at 36", so at 34' 1/4" you are left without options unless you figure out a way to saw the extension to a shorter length. (again, it seems like a spacer block that would fit into that grove would solve this issue as well, cutting the distance down to 34" wide or less).

It is a nice addition to our security. Easy to install.

I bought this to keep pressure on my sliding glass door after installing a sliding glass doggy door. I kept a decent amount of pressure on it but not an absurd amount. It was very easy to push it down in place. Required maybe 10 lbs or pressure to do so. As for the design/issue. The locking mechanism uses a thin somewhat sharp piece of metal which locks against the rather cheap soft plastic insert that is provided. It seems the locking clip dug into the plastic and created a gap/hole as well as a plastic “wall” behind the locking clip. This made it so the clip gets stuck and the bar can no longer be adjusted with the “pin” to make it a the right length. Rendering it pretty much useless. You get what you pay for I suppose. But seeing as this is made to keep out intruders. I would imagine if anyone tried with any real force to open the glass door. Well you’d likely have to buy another one afterwards. Maybe I got unlucky but I feel this problem would be fairly easy to reproduce regardless. But if you are like me and using this to apply constant pressure and not just to “lock” for intruders. I’d spend a little bit more and get a high quality one.

Has been solid and dependable for over a year now. It just works, especially when I forget it's there and slide the door into it

This was an easy installation. Unlike other security bars, it is adjustable to fit a smaller opening. It fits well and the security tab creates an extra step to lift the bar to enable the patio door to be opened. It seems to be well built and we feel more secure with it in place.

Sliding doors are not known for high quality locks and sometimes, as in our development, some keys fit many doors. Easy to install and use. Great break-in deterrent!

It installed fairly easily but I did make one mistake which I was able to correct in my workshop. I’m not sure that it is as sturdy as it should be but it should work well.
