My two year old was delighted with this on Christmas Day. The train is easy to push and will free wheel quite a long way with a push. It has proved more fun than watching her battery powered train chug slowly round, struggling up and over her bridge. This train has provided an great extension to her existing collection of carriages and the strong magnetic coupling means she can assemble quite a long train now that stays together well, racing down the inclines and putting a big smile on her face.The different animals provide interest and an opportunity to make snorting and clucking noises! Even just the magnets attracting and repealing provides endless fascination! She can also interchange the chicken, hay and pig with different carriages and load and unload using her Bigjigs crane. Two good straight pieces of track are a welcome bonus too.This is a well made wooden toys and still the tradional toys prove to be just as much fun as the modern, even without electronic gimmicks!

My grandson loves it although he sometimes dispenses the need to run on rails at the moment!Granddad loves trains too but I like the wide range of stations, bridge, junctions, people etc which make future presents easy to choose.
