Jonathan Alden Co Magnetic Knife Bar keeps knives easily within reach while freeing up valuable counter space. The highest quality triple coated magnets are evenly spread across the bar balancing the magnetic pull strength with the weight of each knife providing a soft touch and release for everything between a paring knife to the heaviest clever.

Magnetic knife bars are the bomb. This one is even bomber
Magnetic knife bars are GREAT. They hold knives with a strong, satisfying ker-thwack, and keep them handy for immediate grabbing. They're infinitely better than a drawer and even better than a knife block (they use less counter space, and you don't have to hunt for a slot for the knife, just THWACK it back on there). This particular knife bar works fabulously and is also gorgeous. The magnet pattern inlaid in the wood makes for a unique and eye catching design, and incidentally exposes the magnets near the surface for prime gripping strength (while keeping them just subsurface so knives don't actually scrape on the metal). The wood is beautifully finished and the whole thing is put together super nicely.

Outstanding product
I've noticed that you have to read the reviews carefully. The things people complain about are often a user issue, not a product issue. The product looks very nice, and the magnet is really strong. What more can you ask for? Right?Folks are complaining that the holder wobbles on the wall and lifts off the screws. Yup, so did mine until I tightened the screws down.It took 3 tries to get the screws just right. A half turn on the screws, mount it, too loose. Another half turn to tighten a little, still too loose. One more turn, PERFECT.My only complaint, I should have bought the longer holder. Like I said, user issues.

Received a used item from Amazon
Attractive and well made product. Strong magnets and no metal in contact with knife blades (so no scratching of blades). Unfortunately, the item showed clear signs of use and uncareful handling (scratches and dents on edges of holder strip). Probably a product that was returned to Amazon by somebody after some use, and then sent to me by Amazon as a new product. Too much hassle, time and delay to return this item to Amazon for a replacement, so I'll keep it. But look at your holder strip before you mount it.

Makes me happy every day
I love this magnetic strip. Saves so much space in my tiny kitchen. I worried it would be too modern for my country kitchen, but it looks great, the magnets mimicking the rivets in some of the knives. I attached it to the side of the fridge using exterior grade double stick tape, and it hasn’t budged. The knives are held securely by the magnets none have ever fallen. But they are still easy to pull off to use. And I like that it’s made in the USA. Just perfect.

Perfect if need more counter space
Great price, great quality and easy installation. So nice not to have a knife holder /butchers block on the counter anymore! Looks amazing too.

Great Knife Holder
This is a great knife holder with powerful magnets, but still easy enough to remove the Knife by pulling out (perpendicular to the wall) on the handle. This is solid walnut wood made in the US giving it a really nice feel, and I prefer the natural wood to the other laminated units. I would prefer not to see the magnets, but still will take natural wood and visible magnets to synthetic grain with no visible magnets.I bought the 16" and it works well for 3 larger knives and a bunch of utility knives (7 or 8 Victorinox pairing knives). See photo. Obviously ceramic knives are a no-go with a magnetic holder, and maybe some low carbon stainless knives will have issues. Any decent high carbon knife will be fine.

looks nice upon Our kitchen wall. fast access. My girlfriend SuperGirl likes it.
Provides fast access to Our kitchen knives. my girlfriend SuperGirl and i have fun in the kitchen together, and it is even more fun when We are in Our own kitchen, where afterward it is easy to flick the knives against the nice magnets.i recommend You install into stud or use a beefier wall anchor so You can have fun in Your kitchen across all moves with Your knives.
