Very sturdy and fit a quarter sheet pan perfectly
This rack is fantastic. The weight and manufacture quality is top notch. I'm buying another one since the original racks that came with my cookware are rubbish and started to rust and stain.

Great product, I am glad I got this one
Great product, I am glad I got this one. I like to cook with varying techniques and only this rack can withstand high heats. Don't be fooled by other racks, they usually only go to 450F and once they chip food sticks and its horrible to clean. This one is 100 percent stainless steel, not chrome, not coating, pure metal, and can easily withstand the 500F of the broiler. The grates are close to each other so food doesn't fall through easily which was a problem on other racks I used. Plus it fits great in the pan, no more racks sliding around and dropping food. the times I used it, it was easy to clean, I just soak it a little and light scrub and done, still looks new. Again Great Product!

"You get what you paid for."
It's an age old idiom that has valid application with this purchase. It took both time and consideration before I pulled the trigger and bought these. I went back and forth a lot over the cost. Even after I bought them, I had serious buyer's remorse. Was I a complete idiot for paying THAT much for simple cooling/baking racks? Double, maybe triple, depending on which one I was comparing these pricey racks to?!? They aren't even sold as a set...and I just purchased TWO of them! After using them for over a year, I have found that I rely on them all the time. Definitely more than I ever thought I would. I initally bought them to cook bacon in the oven. Speaking of which, if you still cook bacon in a frying pan - STOP!!! These racks are PERFECT for this. They hold up to the heat and the oil...heavy duty! The results are as crispy as you want and pretty tasty. Coated mini tongs make flipping/turning things over very easy. These racks don't warp. I wash these in my dishwasher (pans and knives by hand for me) and they clean up with no residue still stuck on afterwards. The grid design supports whatever you are cooking or cooling. It makes me wonder why all these types of racks aren't made with the grid design. The raised height aids crispness with breaded items and keeps food from sitting in their own oil/fat. It is the right size to fit in a half-sheet pan. You can use these racks for just about anything. A real multi-use tool. Not coated for non-stick? So far, not a problem for me. Do they stick? Yes...a LITTLE. A non-stick spray may be very useful (I avoid these) or perhaps a little butter or parchment would be helpful. The things I tend to cook with these racks are not typically low fat so they usually keep themselves from sticking much. I have not had any problems with things sticking to these racks. Finesse hasn't been required for anything that delicate yet. For me, a non-stick coating wasn't an option. I'm not confident that the integrity of a non-stick coating holds up over time after repeatedly cleaned in a dishwasher and I certainly am not going to rely on handwashing to get a baking rack clean. I have more enjoyable things to do with my time! Plus, those non-stick coatings always seem to have chemical health concerns somewhere down the line.Stainless steel was a must. It really works if you want to avoid rust. The finish hasn't chipped or peeled off. These racks are not thin or lightweight, but I don't cook in a commercial kitchen. I still feel they are sturdy and well made.I think these baking/cooling racks are perfect except for the price. It keeps me from buying more racks so I can platoon bake for large quantities. Yes...the cost still gets me. That is the *only* reason for not rating this product all five stars. If I had opted for the cheaper option, I probably would've gone through multiple racks, been frustrated/disappointed with baking results, cursed at the difficult cleaning, and scolded poor quality. I may have bought these racks to cook bacon, but I now use them for just about everything that I put in the oven. I got what I paid for - quality, functionality, ease, reliabilty, and tasty results. The Silpat was my #1 tool for baking for a long time. These racks have replaced it and are now, my new #1.

I leave it on the racks to cool and then portion and freeze to enjoy in 5 ...
These stainless steel cooling racks will serve you for a life time and still retain their look and durability. Having been in commercial foods for several years I use nothing else. At home I use them in my stainless steel 1/2pans mostly to bake off bacon and sausage to perfection as the grease goes to the pan. I use blot with paper toweling to remove any top grease. Meat cooks both side at once. I leave it on the racks to cool and then portion and freeze to enjoy in 5 seconds in the microwave (11oo watts) or any spur of the moment meal or snack we decide one. Cleanup is just a quick soak and brush with a nylon brush, such as a vegetable brush and they are good to go. I pop them back in the oven to finish drying while the temp cools off inside, same for the cooking sheets. Cooling any food item is always safe to come in direct contact as no rust or chrome chipping off as in found in lesser quality. You will be money ahead to invest in these racks. Enjoy!

Great for your laptop, as well.
OK that is a pretty bizarre heading for a baking rack but it is true. I bake bread often hence I am well aware of the benefits of having a cooling rack on hand. It so happens that the same principle applies to lap tops. They can get pretty hot sitting on your wooden desk or, in my case, wooden credenza next to the desk. They need air flow to keep the temperature within a reasonable range. Well, voila.....this rack provides air flow! The lap top sits quite nicely on it and there is no problems with overheating, even in the summer. Are you a baker? Well, yes, it is a great rack for that purpose also. I have several of them and they work just fine for my breads and muffins. What can you say about a cooling rack for bread. There is not a whole lot to write about - this rack does the job. Baked goods should not be set to cool directly on the counter because the bottoms can get soggy as the moisture condenses. If you are going to do any amount of baking, you need a cooling rack and this product is a nice one. It does the job and stores away, easily enough

Best rack I've used so far!
I've used this a few times already and it's super easy to clean. No need to scrub with abrasive pads or soak really. Just clean with sponge and soapy water. Seems like it is good quality. Used it to make Chinese roast pork and prime ribs. Came out perfect.

Great product, used it the other night to cook a roast. Most cooling racks sold in stores are not for oven use as they have a coating or rubberized feet. The rack is thick and sturdy making it good to cook roasts, vegetables and other heavy things.

Good for air frying
Good rack for use in a convection oven for air frying french fries etc. Now I don't need an actual air fryer and I am finally using my convection oven properly. For even better air circulation, use a rimless baking sheet. I also cooked some chicken wings (Pinty) and they came out nice and crispy.
