This was a decent price, when I bought it, like $12 USD. Made a replacement for the Xbox 360, original 60gb.

I got this for my Xbox 360. Turns out, in order to use it for that, you have to install a program that flashes the drive with specific firmware. That sounds scary but it's actually really simple. Hopefully this one is better quality and outlasts my old hard drive. It's got a bit more capacity, haven't noticed much difference in speed or boot time but I haven't paid much attention to that.

I was looking for "cheap" mechanical hard drive hd as a 2nd backup of my window system. These hd come with antistatic seal package, and only paper bag outside (better bubble). Both came without format (2011 manufacturer date, assumed not new or not expect new). Ran both on surface scan, all good. Since it is old drive, I would not use it for daily work but only for backup purpose.

I've tried this drive both with a Raspberry Pi 4 (using a USB SATA cable), and with an older laptop. On the Raspberry Pi, the drive drew too much power. Using a 3.6 amp power supply (18 watts), the Raspberry Pi would put a lightning bolt icon on the screen while reading from the drive, and the drive would click at the exact same time. Also, speeds were terrible. When I tried it on an old laptop (HP Elitebook G3), it worked perfectly. The speeds were decently fast. The drive was apparently getting enough power. In response to some of the reviews saying the drive was very slow, it's quite possible that the machine you are using is not providing the drive with enough power. So, overall, the drive is working fine, but not for the use I wanted it for. I initially wanted a cheap drive around 300 GB for running Retropie. But this drive draws too much power to be used like that. So instead I'll just keep it around as a spare. Also, as a side note, it's a full 9mm thick, so will not fit in ultrathin machines that need a 7.5mm drive.

it is a mechanical HD if you do not know the deference do not buy this is NOT a SSD ....if wanting some cheep storage it works as it is suppose to do so do not complain about it slow read right it is a mechanical HD and a slow 5400 rpm .....but my daughter is using in a USB 3.1 enclosure for adding storage to her PS5 and it is working nicely it dose not seem to care so long as the box you install it in is a compatible interface with the PS5 .....but she dose not see any slow downs in games at this time that are loaded on the ext drive

I don't know why but I used this product and the same night my controller started to fall apart

It got my ps4 working, but unfortunately it got corrupted.
