Excellent microphone for sax
A little bright but clear sound. I love the mic and use it hard-wired and through my sennheiser wireless system

I’m a sound engineer, got sick of horn players showing up with busted wireless Beta98’s and had a spare Sennheiser wireless laying around…. Love the 9 series so let’s try it. So far so good, nice even sound throughout - maybe lacking somewhat in the bottom end but super clean and “in your face” sound. The clip is nice, very easy to jump from horn to horn. Gooseneck is very adjustable. You can bend, and set the distance to (and from) the horn very easily. Another win for the Sennheiser 9 series!

Sennheiser are the best mics
Works well, we use it for a wireless Sennheiser transmitter on a Saxophone. Nice and clean sound.

Works with the FreePORT System
I have an older Sennheiser FreePORT system, which was originally for a guitar. I needed a new mic for my accordion, of all instruments. In doing some research, I found out that this mic was indeed compatible with my existing system. I assume that this will work with other Sennheiser sound packs, but you might want to check beforehand. The clarity is very good, and there is a fuller sound which accompanies it. The only issue I had was button and key noise, but turning down the lows on the mixer helped to reduce those sounds. All in all, this is well worth the $200.

Quick, easy, and it works.
This microphone sounds great. It's my fourth clip on mic. Best one so far. Would be nice to have a shorter gooseneck option.
