My Girlfriend have thick curls that tend to get frizzy and dry easily. The Scent & Texture The first thing you notice when opening the jar is the scent—it is absolutely heavenly. It feels more like a thick, wiggly jelly or glaze. Performance & "The Secret" to Using It I cannot stress this enough: A little goes a long way. If you scoop a handful of this like a normal cream, your hair will feel sticky and heavy. However, if you use it correctly, it is a miracle worker. My Method: I apply this to soaking wet hair. I dip just two fingers in to get a dime-sized amount, rub it between my palms to warm it up (it melts into an oil-like consistency), and then glaze it over my curls. The Results: The definition is unmatched. It clumps my curls together beautifully and completely eliminates frizz. Unlike hard hold gels that leave a "crunchy" cast, this leaves my hair feeling soft and looking incredibly shiny once it dries. Moisture Factor Because Agave Nectar and Coconut Oil are high on the ingredient list, this feels very nourishing. My curls look hydrated for days, not just on wash day. It seals moisture in really well, which is great for high-porosity hair. Verdict If you have thick, curly, or coily hair that craves moisture and definition, this is a 5-star product. The first few times I tried this I ended up with very crunchy wet-looking hair that I could not scrunch the crunch out of. Sometimes I'd crunch the hell out of it just to find it had re-crunchified a while later. The fix, I discovered, is to apply it very sparingly, and to wet my hands before picking up a glob of it and rub them together with this product to wet it down before applying to hair, sparingly. Done right, it doesn't get crunchy and gives me ~5 days of reasonable hold. I have naturally porous 3B curls, I do curly girl per the r/curlyhair wiki, and I apply the following stack of products in order to clean and conditoned hair while still wet: 1.)
