Its nice to still find quality products that are still made ...
Its nice to still find quality products that are still made in the USA for a reasonable price. The only choice at the big box stores like Home Depot and Lowes is that absurd cheap quality plastic gas can with that stupid malfunctioning spring activated nozzle that you have to twist and then push down on while at the same time holding a heavy can full of gasoline in midair. With the plastic cans if you leave them in the heat for even a small length of time the pressure builds up so much that when you depress the nozzle a huge amount of pressure is released and will blast out a gush of gasoline. You can feel the quality of the Justrite can the moment you pick it up. Solid feel , heavy gauge metal and beautiful paint job on it. Its actually nice to look at. I also like the way the funnel works with the no nonsense easy pour spout and auto closing lid. This is one of the best bargains on Amazon

Really like this high quality gas can!
I'm a former firefighter and fire prevention inspector and I will not settle for anything but an approved, steel gas can that can't be punctured like the plastic ones can! It's a great value! I also think that the price is reasonable when we consider quality and fire safety!

Finally a safe gas can!
Ok, I know this is goofy to review a gas can, but after 10+ years of using those awful plastic gas cans, I finally decided to get a metal one. Of course, the local selection is small, unless I want something five gallons or more, then there is plethora of choices. Two gallons is just about the right size for my yard and mower combination. My problem with the plastic cans is that they just never felt safe to use. They would build up pressure, especially if left in a shed during the Summer, resulting in a serious burst of vapor when opened, or they would leak gas fumes into the shed. I'm no genius, but gas fumes are not something I feel comfortable around when opening the shed or plastic can. I tried some of the newer, safer plastic cans, with their funky arrangements, but they never seem to last or work properly, especially when it gets cold outside. So I finally splurged on this can and have to say I am impressed with it, as far as gas cans go. Yes, it will build up pressure and vent some when opening, but it has what I assume is at least a metal flash guard built in to it. I have yet to use it in the Summer, but expect it will be an improvement over the crappy plastic cans I am now tossing to the curb (well, keeping one for the two-stroke mix). The funnel had me confused, but it quickly became apparent how it attaches, and makes filling so much easier. And metal just feels more solid and safe, although the latter may just be my wishful thinking.Either way, I recommend this.

Great quality but it leaks so I'm returning it and getting another
Great quality would last a long time but I'm not keeping because it leaks out in my car its leaking around the base of the neck part where the spot welds are that and other dislike it doesn't stay open for refilling other than that it's a decent can.

Quality an safety it’s all here
The perfect gas can for our small generator when RVing . It’s not going to tip over , leak or collapse years down the road. Easy pour with no mess and no need to buy those spouts for when you buy the plastic cans. I had actually forgotten about just how good a metal can is when you go for quality. This is the 2 gallon can as that was all we really needed and also makes it easier to handle.

Multiple buys of this can
These cans are so nice. We've bought several for different fuel types.
