Demons!
This was a very emotive album for me, I had Demons to deal with, and this album helped me with those Demons, and how to deal with them face on, yes the music is heavy and the voice is harsh, but the album always gives that little bit of hope, it is very heavy, but very emotive, it is in my mind a struggle, which is shown through the music, sorry I can't be more upbeat!

Not the Devildriver I was hoping for.
Ever since the line up change after Winter Kills, I have not rated much of what Devildriver is putting out. And this album is no different. It doesnt have the same flare, groove or anything which old Devildriver made me excited about. Abit bland, too complex and not flowing at times. I just dont rate it.Small redeemers in the songs 'Wishing' which provides a nice change of pace and reminds me much more of old DD - and Venegance is Clear.

Dez Fafara's BEST WORK EVER
OMGracious, I was late getting this album, which made me miss critical time I COULD HAVE BEEN LISTENING to Dealing With Demons, Volume One. This is a collection of Dez's emotions and thoughts derived from life's experiences. It is a rare introspective look into this man's psyche. HOW the metal, the music that accompanies these lyrics, is the best damn brand of hardcore, groove-death metal out there I do not know. It's what I LIKE. THIS IS MY STYLE OF METAL. MY BRAND. God, it's good. Thanks DEZ!!

Deal or no deal? - DEAL

Brutal and Melodic Return to Form
First and foremost, I am a huge fan of Devildriver and have been following them since the first album. The last few non-cover albums have seemed a bit phoned in. I became excited again after hearing their awesome country covers album. With Dealing with Demons, it feels like a band renewed. The album is short, brutal, and concise. Maybe it was the Coal Chamber reunion, but this album also incorporates a lot of melody and some cleaner vocals. Its the best album they have put out in a decade and I am definitely excited for vol. 2.
