What do you use as a dome? Is there one that you bought separately that fits this tray?

I always use a dome and get better result I buy the domes at B&T Grower Supply they are very durable and strong and fit perfectly...I am counting the days til I start my seeds this years!!

are these made of hard plastic? they are not the cheap 2.oo ones at the stores?

They seem a LITTLE tougher than the store ones, or at least some of them. But I would not count on using them for more than a couple of seasons. Pat of the issue is that plastic breaks down in sunlight. Well if you raise plants in them ..unless you sre doing mushrooms, there is light.

What is the depth of the tray?

2.25" to the support ribs with another .25" for drainage of excess water.
