It is a piece of junk
No one buy this watch. It is a piece of junk. It won't sync with the app. And no one is getting back to me on my issues with this watch. It is only worth $10 I'm going to return it.

Does not work as advertised
Does not work as advertised. Would not give notifications on text, certain emails, etc. Attempted to contact tech support at Timex 3 times and received 0 response. Sent the item back. Don't waste your money

Not a new model, it's four years old.
Watch strap is vinyl / rubber topped with a pleather cover, not stitched down. Top of the strap started separating from the bottom after a week of wear.Update: Per Timex the watch and iConnect by Timex 2 app have been discontinued. No updates to the app.It does sync with the iConnect by Timex 2 app with Android 14, Weather does not work as the app does not have permissions to location in the background. The app has not been updated since February 2022.Nothing can be changed without the app. Watch settings are under "Pair My Watch".It works, but it's not an $80 watch, unless they update the app and add notifications for more apps.

Lots of promise, not a lot of follow through
This is my 3rd smartwatch. My previous watches have all been on the cheaper side, and my previous watches both failed physically after a year or two. This time I decided to spend a bit more to get a sturdier watch. When I found the iConnect, I thought I had found a hidden gem, but while it was hidden, it was only because its been swept under the carpet and forgotten about. I've had this watch a couple of months now, and was really holding out hope it would get better as many of the problems are software based. The good:1. Build quality2. Look and feel. The Mediocre:1. Battery Life2. Sleep Monitoring3. Step Tracking4. Weather appThe Bad:1. Notifications2. No Tethering available3. Loses connection constantly4. Watch faces5. Find Watch Function6. Battery Life indicator7. No connection indicator8. Nag-o-gram notification you can't remove9. No Calendar functions10. Misleading or just blatant false advertisingAs you can see the good qualities of this watch are far outweighed by all of the problems. The really bad part here is that almost all of the problems are software. On the face, this is a well built quality watch. I have had many Timex watches that have lasted many years, and it was my hope this one would do the same. It's almost as if they built this watch first and suddenly realized they needed an app and firmware and subbed out the cheapest and fastest bidders they could find. In the 2 or 3 months I've had this watch there have been zero app updates nor firmware upgrades. The battery life is shorter than my previous watch that lasted a month or more. The iConnect lasts about 2 weeks, which apparently is about average. The sleep monitor is fairly limited. If you were looking for a watch that shows what time you fell asleep, got up, or when you were in deep sleep, keep looking. This watch only tells you how many hours you slept (it does divide up between deep sleep and regular), but not when. The step tracking only shows you the number of steps per day. There is no conversion to the number of miles. The weather is a joke. It almost literally says cloudy every single day.My primary reason for having a smartwatch is for the notifications. The notifications on this watch are limited to just 17 predetermined apps. You want notifications from Slack? That's too bad, it's not one of the chosen few. While texts are one of the things your supposed to be get notifications for, I have never gotten a notification on my watch for group texts. I get noticaitons on the phone just fine, but not on the watch. I contacted support about adding Slack and fixing group texts, and I received an auto-email back saying they would get back to me in a 1-2 business days, that was over a month ago, and I'm starting to think they might not get back to me.Would you like a watch that tells you when you left your phone somewhere? Well, it's not this one. It's not even an option. That's probably for the best, since the phone absolutely will not stay connected to the watch. My previous watch had very few issues staying connected, but this watch loses connection at least once a day. For reference, my phone is Samsung S10, which is not exactly new, but its no slouch either. I can't speak to how it works with iOS.The watch faces are limited to just 12 choices. 8 of those choices are in the app, and 4 are always on the watch (you can't remove these 4 from the watch). You can only pick one of the 8 faces, and the one you pick will become the 5th face you can set on the watch. The watch face I pick doesn't seem to stay. I'm constantly finding it set to the blue face with the sun seen in the product photos. The watch face does not look as good as the advertised picture either (more on that later). The find watch function will make the phone ring with an extremely high pitched beeping (which can not be changed) that has to be turned off by first finding and opening the app, and then pressing a very small button on a notification window in the app. This would be so much easier if the notification was in the banner, or if just unlocking the phone turned it off. Granted the watch has to be connected to the phone in order for the find a phone feature to work, so chances aren't good that it will be useful (you have to launch the app from the phone to get it to re-connect to the watch, once it loses connection). There is no battery life indicator on the watch or in the app that tells you the percentage of charge left (and most watch faces don't have a battery indicator at all). All you have are bars and the lowest it will show is 2 bars out of 5. There is also no notifications when the watch gets low. There is almost no way to tell from the watch if it is connected to the phone or not. The only way to find out from the watch is to attempt to use the Find a phone feature. It will then tell you not connected or you phone will start emitting extremely high pitched beeps that are hard to turn off, so maybe don't try this in public place. You can tell from the app pretty quickly though ,but the point of a smartwatch is getting quick and easy info. There is a link icon when you swipe up, but this icon shows even when the phone is not connected, so not sure what this icon is for.Any time you launch the app, a nag-o-gram notification will show up (at least it does in android) that says the app needs to be set to not go to sleep. This notification can not be removed, and no matter ow many settings I change to keep the app open, the notification keeps coming back. There is no calendar function whatsoever. You could be forgiven to think that because Outlook is one of the things that can get notifications, you could get calendar notifications from Outlook, but they have locked down the notifications so you only get watch notifications for email messages. There is an alarm, but I do not consider this to be a calendar as it can only be set to a day of the week and a time, so you can only set an alarm a maximum of 6 days in advance.Which leads to the last problem and possibly the worst. If you look at the Timex website for the iConnect Pro, it lists out several features which just plain don't exist. The most laughable being that it boasts a Calculator. But other somewhat believable features are calendar and media control, which just plain do not exist. The pictures of the watch face in every advertisement i have seen show a watch face you would almost think was real. My actual watch has never once looked like this (photo attached). My only conclusion is that the watch faces in the pictures are "simulations", but not one picture I have seen on Amazon or on TImex's web site have an asterisk or or some sort of footnote denoting these pictures are simulated screens. I understand if this was some fly by night knock off company selling cheap watches and just promising anything that might sell a watch, but this is Timex, and that used to mean something.
