Straight Forward
After reading the reviews I expected the set up to be tricky but it was easy. The Bluetooth was a bit glitchy at times and I was waiting ages for the pages to align, but when nothing happened I closed the app and re-started it, tried again and it was instant. So far the quality of the print is good for the price of the printer (the cartridges for my ancient printer would have cost more than this printer cost me!!)You get a set of ink cartridges included and you can enrol on the Instant Ink subscription service (I signed up for the 99p/15 copes per month option), your printer informs the Service when your ink is low and you get sent more cartridges. You get 2 months free ink when you sign up, but if you use code v3qkz5 we both get 1 month free, then use FREEINK for another month free....win win

I wish I'd bought a more expensive printer
This printer works just fine, but honestly, I wish I'd bought a more expensive printer. Scanning is a drag, it takes a long time, you can only use the bed, not the feeding tray, which means if you have multiple documents, you have to keep adding the next page, then click 3 buttons on the software, wait for what feels like ages for the page to scan, then repeat. I would say one page takes about 30sec to scan at 300dpi. And if you are doing 600dpi, it takes minutes to scan.Printing is pretty straight forward I guess. It does what it says on the tin, but you can't print on both sides, unless you manually turn the printed pages yourself and read to the feeder. The software for using it, in principle, seems easy to use, but it took me a while to figure it out and I actually work in IT.What I love though is the ability to scan straight to my Google Drive (there are other options too), but to set that up was a nightmare and ages spent online trying to figure it out.All in all, it annoys me just enough to with I had spent more money on a better faster printer. But like I said, for home use, this is an OK choice for the price you pay, so I've ranked it 4 stars.

Fantastic printer, good quality, it can scan too
Our old Cannon printer broke so we looked around at what is available out there. The HP printers we noticed have replacement cartridges cheaper than Cannon. We are very pleased with this new printer, it was easy to set up and does what the old one did and more. We can now scan things, I have been scanning old black and white photos my mum has then improving the clarity and many options that come as standard with this printer, we then sent them off to an on line picture developer, we have made up a new photo album with large clear photos which you could hardly see before, amazing. Great value great quality.

Works and prints so well
A few days before buying the HP2700 I bought an Epsom printer costing more . However just like my previous one it took ages before it would print. The HP2710 is so fast and prints every time I ask it to. Its easy to set up and this is done using a Web site. I repeat. Its easy. The cartridges are more expensive but they do last so much longer. They are easier to fit as well. I give this printer 5 stars and I would buy again for sure

The worst printer I have ever had the misfortune to try to set up and use. Do not buy it.
This may set the record for the world's first flying printer - straight out of my f**ing window!Basically, the setup experience does not work if you have a computer that is wired to an ethernet with no WifI. The printer requires WifI on the setting up device in order to work. I tried with USB, which works, but then it fails to work with the online HP Smart and HP Instant ink sites. I tried buying a WiFi dongle for my PC and then it works sometimes. Then a new problem - it kept forgetting the WifI settings, so I needed to go through the whole setup process again. And then the setup process - HP Smart app on the PC, which runs like a snail on valium, like it was written in 90s by a bunch of graddies. Works differently every time I use it. Doesn't detect that you've already installed ink, if you're going at this for the umpteenth time, which happened for me. Sometimes hangs for no apparent reason. And then the online Instant Ink and HP Smart sites... they don't work very well! HP Instant Ink requires both to be on the same WifI network, rather than the PC being hooked up to the Ethernet as per normal. Then when you play around with emails and usernames - if you re-use one you had before, it just says "Invalid email". Very Informative. Took me ages to work around that one. Then the printer forgot the details of whether I had registered for Instant Ink. So when my next batch of Instant Ink arrived in the post, it started flashing at me that the ink cartridges were no longer compatible.I then spent two hours on the phone to support trying to sort all this out. Eventually they sent me a new printer. Guess what? I wouldn't be writing this review if the same issues hadn't been experienced all over again, or similar. The whole setup experience, the HP Smart App, the HP Smart online account, the HP Instant Ink management, is non-cohesive, massively over engineered, is a shitty user experience frankly, and the printer's pretty shit as well. Finally, to really undermine my confidence, the second printer that was dispatched to me stated on the label a source manufacturing date for my brand new printer... 2010...!! This new printer was manufactured in China eleven years ago!I have now given up, this printer and the first printer are going to the rubbish dump and I'm going to look for a new NON HP PRINTER!

Very decent printing quality for the price!
Since I read a lot of reviews about installation on here, I was afraid it would take me quite a while to figure it out myself, as I've never installed a printer before. BUT it was so so easy, got it done in under 30 mins. It's printing and scanning a variety of qualities, it does tend to be very slow at 1200 dpi, but there's always the option to lower to 300-600 dpi and it works very well. For all my work docs it's very good, not sure how it would be with printing photos however, not something I intend to try.Prints both colour and B&W, connects well to the internet and to my phone/laptops. Had it for a week of intensive printing and so far I've been absolutely happy with this purchase!
