Has nothing to do with 2020 issues !!
This book “ starting a coffee shop in 2020 “ has no information about anything to address the “special requirements “ of all food service industries during the 2020 covid shutdown . It’s mostly every other book on location , your costs and menu. I should have read the reviews before I bought it . I will use this book as a piece of wall art and screw it yo the wall in our coffee shop next year to remind me that people are only out for themselves . You could have done a search and replace ( coffee shop ) with any business idea , and that is how you make money on amazon print on demand , 1 book becomes 50 books , the part about 2020 was just a trick to make you think it had something new .

Useless
Not a word about the primary product (so be aware you will learn 0.0 about coffee), no specifics about equipment and fixtures, zero numbers, ... this book is for someone who has never been in any key position in any business, who has never served a customer on any level, and has never filed their own taxes or balanced their checkbook (but do not look for any specifics in taxes or accounting other than you need to pay taxes and accounting is important). If you get a piece of tape and a blank piece of paper and write on it "BE KIND, BE CAREFUL, FOLLOW THE GOLDEN RULE, STAY CALM AND CARRY ON" you will have 100% of what this book has to offer.

Waste of money
A perfectly useless book, taught me nothing other than the fact that the author and his copy editor can’t spell.

Insufficient - perhaps a draft?
The book is plagued with grammar mistakes - does the author not realize that this seriously takes away credibility? Did nobody proofread it? It's quite concerning. This aside, the book lacks applicability. More often then not, the author leaves it up to the user to research themselves how to go about certain aspects. I understand this is inherent for such a broad topic but I think there's more that the author can do to aid this research like giving examples or resources that provide more guidance. I already knew I needed to do more research... that's why I payed for a book. Look for something more comprehensive. At best this book gives you an outline of things to consider, though I would argue that's easily done through the free internet.

Don't waste your time
It seems as though it was translated into English by someone who is not fluent in English. No useful indication.

Great book
Good book which the ideas apply right here in the USA. Taking the time to recognize your client types be a key concept in the back of perception the vicinity you choose. It's a true examine for all and sundry looking for to get into this business. I am happy with my purchase! A need to study for our espresso house team!

Scathing Review Tantamount to Poor English Exhibited
Although the analogy of “buttering one’s buns” was cause for an ephemeral wry smile, the majority of this book sorely disappoints. By page 20, over a hundred grammatical, syntaxical, punctuation, and spelling errors have been counted to the point where I find it nearly impossible to continue reading and a challenge to take this author’s advice seriously. With a name like “Alex Johnson” you’d think this author would have learned English firsthand. I can tell you that, unless this is written by a high school dropout, this cannot be the case. It is just that bad. Has this book had no editor? Please, for the good of all, have someone edit this book! I have a stomach ache from the horrific roller coaster ride of ill-thought out examples, tripe advice and ridiculous mistakes littered throughout this bullet pointed list of ideas. One redeeming factor is that the advice is basic, good to be reminded of if you’ve never opened a business. Otherwise, it’s inane.Alas, the author does state that feedback is a gift and I hope that “Alex” takes this one to heart.

Decepcionante ...
