How do you connect to wifi for iOS?

I have owned this for 7 months and still cannot get it to work properly. It requires to use their version of cloud services which is not user friendly and it did not come with instruction manual just a cd disc that can only be used in an older desktop that still supports cd's my laptop won't run it.....it was a waste of money

I am using it to scan my father's journal and it works pretty well so it would probably workk to scan recipes from a book, as long as the book can be opened pretty wide.
