Excellent suggestions on exercise. Too much talk to get to the important stuff
Tim is over the top in enthusiasm in his writing style. Too many words dealing with why we are made perfectly. Rambling on, over more than half the book finally gets to the meat. His insights on movement however are advanced and full of wisdom. I’m sure he could have included more pics to better explain. His videos on you tube are simply amazing.

Very well written
Tim does a very good job of using very simple words to explain something so difficult for must of us to understand. I really enjoyed the manner in which the book illustrated the movements.

Sage Advice
I read Tim Anderson’s book on doing a body reset and was a fan of his approach to well being. What I admire most is his perspective on nutrition and not judging food types. Let go of the food science and be grateful; move like a child, play like you did as a youth.

The book I needed to read right now!
Sometimes we come across a book at the perfect time, and this is the case with "Discovering You" by Tim Anderson. I have read every book Tim has written. Although they have always been fantastic and have helped me move better, Discovering You is simply life-changing. A couple of weeks before buying this book, I started to contemplate the stories I tell myself about my body and myself in general. I guess I was getting ready for this book. When I read Tim's books, I feel as I am talking with him. His casual, frank, caring, and compassionate ways come across every sentence. Tim truly cares about people, and in "Discovering You," this caring is evident. The book is about the perfect creation apparent in the flawless design of our bodies. It shows us a way to dismantle the lies we tell ourselves and how they impact our lives. It brings to light the evidence of muscle testing exposed in Dr. David Hawkins' book, Power vs. Force, reminding me of its wisdom, and showing me how to apply it to my life today."Discovering You" has already helped me to be more mindful. It has taught me to look at the way I eat and to pay attention to the thoughts and judgments I attach daily to everything I do. The book ends with two movement formulas, one for vitality and one for strength and wellbeing. These daily movement routines encapsulate the foundational movements of the Original Strength system. I did them for the first time yesterday, and besides feeling great, I broke a pretty good sweat. It will take daily focus to apply the principles in Tim's book seamlessly in my life. I will need to re-read the book and be very vigilant... and it is so worth the effort."Discovering You" is definitely the book I needed to read right now. "When the student is ready, the teacher appears" This aphorism applies to me.

Tim's Best!! This Book IS DEEP
I've been a reader of Tim's for several years, and have all of his books. His books, and work have been my rock through difficult times. This book is his best. One of the central themes of it is how our internal language shapes our consciousness. This is true for everything from how we lead to our responses from the foods we eat.I loved this book so much that I even sent it to my spiritual guide, mentor, Cindy, who recently published a book with a similar title. Perhaps Tim & Cindy are ancestors from an ancient alien civilization!!One thing I would encourage Tim to write about in either a blog post, or in his next book is how to "deal" with difficult people--i.e., "the dark cloud in the room". While working on one's self to live life on a higher playing field through our thoughts is definitely possible, being around difficult people--i.e., "Karen" is difficult, and a burden on our well being. I hope that Tim touches upon this soon. As much as I strive to better myself through my thoughts, beliefs, negative people always seem to wrap one tentacle around me. I'd like to know how to deal with this.Either way, get this book. Get several copies in hardcopy. Give them to your family members, friends, coworkers, and people you really like. This is the kind of book that we really need right now, during this time! Tim20 is what we need!

Don't think about it, just get the book. You wont regret it.
This book is so much more than a "workout" book. It is a mindset. Tim Anderson is really onto something. Everything that I have seen (Youtube) and read (books) by Tim has brought new insight into how doing foundation movements can bring tremendous benefits for your health, well-being, and you(th). Not only that, if you have seen Tim on Youtube, he radiates happiness and makes everything look easy!I believe that anyone could benefit from this book. Regardless of age, fitness level, or whatever health barometer you would use. It'll set you down the correct path, like it did me.

Brilliant Book
Sorry Tim, I never wrote a review of this book when I first bought it. I had stopped using the 21s but just last week decided to go back doing them again. They are incredible. I have switched my fitness goals now to someone who at 60, 70, 80 and hopefully 90 still has movement and can possible do everything I do now at 42. I think the daily 21s are fantastic for this. Doing the vitality and the strength ones takes 30 minutes and it is a great workout without being completely wrecked so you can do it everyday. There are loads of little movements within the exercises that you can play with to shake them up. I would recommend this book to anyone of any age or fitness level who just wants to feel good. Keep up the great work Tim. Gareth

Das Motto von Original Strength lautet: Do what you can! :-)

A magical approach to your body
I discovered Tim through his wonderful YouTube channel and I was so impressed that I bought this book about 8 months ago. I held off from writing a review until I really tested out the book. Over the months I have gradually built up my morning exercise routine incorporating Tim's movements. The book is a gem and if you work with the wisdom that it contains and do the exercises consistently--doing what you can--over time you will be amazed at the increase in function that you experience. I have combined Tim's exercises with a stretching routine and I feel as if I am growing younger from week to week. I am still working up to the full daily 21s. It is a work in progress. I am so grateful to Tim. Buy the book, implement the exercises and watch his YouTube channel for more ideas and inspiration.UPDATE: I first wrote a review in Jan 2022, it is now Aug 2022**doing the daily 21s**--I just get stronger and "younger" as the months go by. My body is so comfortable and daily life is so much easier. I feel young. I look good too but that is not a focus. The icing on the cake--my latest bone density test (I am a post menopausal woman in her late 50s) was much improved. My doctor was astounded. My goal is to get that bone density right back to a woman in her mid 20's!) This book should be a best seller.

Think well, move well, reach your potential
Disclaimer first, I must admit I’m a Tim Anderson/Original Strength fan. Having said that if you are just after another exercise book/routine, then this book is not for you. There is a new OS daily movement routine in the book, but this book really takes a deep dive into Tim’s philosophies around life through the lens of movement and how you can reach the full potential that you were born with (and that your mind and body may have forgotten). A great addition to any bookshelf for the person who generally just wants to live a happy, healthy life and move well throughout any life stage.
