This journal is beautiful, first of all. I love to collect journals and when I saw this I knew I had to have it. I will probably never write a single word in it for fear that I will ruin it, but I'm so excited to have it as a part of my collection.The journal it's self is a hardback, it's a cardboard cover over which is a soft, yet sturdy feeling cotton(?) fabric. The constellation design, as well as the saying, "It is written in the stars" appear only on the front cover, and seem to be done in some kind of gold foil perhaps, they are also, for lack of a better word, sunken into the fabric. In the front of the journal is a bullet style page for writing out a key and/or an index, then a page for personal info as well as world times and a world map. The next page contains a multiplication table as well as conversion charts for cooking measurements and turning fractions into decimals. Each journal entry page is college ruled with space at the top for the "subject" of the entry, as well as the "date." As with most journals there is of course a skinny ribbon bookmark. In the back of the journal is a page of world and religious holidays and the dates on which they fall in 2018, 2019, and 2020. And in the very back is an area for one's own "important dates" with 31 numbered rows for the days of each month, and 12 columns named for each month of the year. It is a thoughtfully designed journal/notebook. I would buy a hundred more if I could, I love it so much. I would reccomend this journal to anyone who wants something attractive and practical.

This journal is very sturdy. I did scrapbooking in this journal as a gift and it held up really well.

By far one of the most gorgeous journals ever. It’s got gold foiling, a soft fuzzy suede type feel to it. But the paper is SO thin it makes the whole thing horrible. Using a regular pen I did a test page and it shows through so bad. Idk what I’ll use this for now but I’m def not happy with the gsm. It’s such a shame but I wanted all of these so bad because they look amazing

After writing my first journal entry in I don't know how long, I discovered the book is damaged. One page is torn in half and another page is partially missing. I've already started writing in the book, so I can't return it now, but I'm very disappointed with these defects.Other than that the book is nice. I would've given 4 stars, but I'm knocking it down to two because of the damage.

Bought this as a gift for my Dad. He loves it. Good quality. Just a good looking book.
