I rarely write reviews but I want to write this review to help sell this hat because it's that awesome. Pros: * Our twin girls hated wearing hats before. This was the first hat that they didn't rip off in 5 seconds, and now, they actually ask to put hats on, and are even ok with baseball caps too now. * The front rim is nice and wide has a piece of foam to help it stay up and away from their face and provides great sun protection * The back rim is nice and long and protects their neck and back * You can also flip the front rim all the way to make it, what i called, "pirate mode" :) * You can roll up the hats to be quite compact. This is important for me because I have to carry two of everything. I have been careful not to crease the front rim foam too much. * The material that fits on their head is soft and not hot. Like a thin wind jacket. * It's fine for this hat to get wet. It won't get heavy with water. * The head size can be adjusted. My girls are 17 mon and I got the 2-5 year one. I can adjust the head strap to fit them, with plenty of room to grow. * The chin pull strap is so easy to tighten and loosen (picture shows chin clip instead of pull strap. I was so happy when I received the pull strap) * It's reasonably priced (I bought for $23 each) considering these are the only hats we need, and can last for a long time. * The color is gorgeous. I got the yellow hat with royal blue inside. * Everywhere I go people stop and gasp "Oh my goodness! Soooooooo cute!" Cons: * What cons? Can't think of any!

I bought this hat for my 14 month old. My friend has had this hat for her son since he was little, and when I was complaining about how I can’t keep a hat on my son for the life of me, she replied “really? He doesn’t take off his hat”. I decided to go for it and get the same hat her son was wearing after reading all the great reviews. And holy smokes! He keeps it on! He has tried to tug it off, and he can get it off when he really wants to, but most of the time he gives it one pull, and when it doesn’t immediately come off he moves on and starts playing. I think the fact that you can adjust it to make it snug and harder to pull off is enough of a deterrent. He just came in from playing outside for an hour and this hat stayed on the entire time. I bought the small size, and he has a larger than average head but there is still plenty of room for him to grow. It doesn’t have the ventilation panels like the picture suggests, but the material is really light so I’m fine with it. The sun protection coverage is great too. Very happy with this purchase. If you have a kid who constantly pulls their hats off and you need some head protection this summer- buy this hat!
