Other than the story premises, nothing else worked.
I read all Bella’s books on the Sullivan’s family and I enjoyed them. For this reason I decide to buy the Maverick’s series.I liked the first book in the series — Will story. This one, the second, is much inferior. The premises of the story was OK … as for the delivery? Too much repetition. On the first half, Sebastian’s fears were repeated ad nauseam, which makes one wonder why. It seems that the authors were not convinced that his reasons were genuine. Well, I didn’t buy them, but the repetition, rather than convince me, made me antsy. How many times can one use the word toxic in a book?As for the sex scenes? Too many, too descriptive and, the ones I read (most I skipped), left me cold — too low on emotional content. Also, having sex on a dirt workshop, full of metal dust and who knows what else, doesn’t feel romantic from any angle. Yucky!

Love the story, but could do with a lot less of the explicit sex scenes, though.
I loved this story, but I could have done with a lot less of the explicit sex scenes. One or two aren't bad, but Good Lord....sometimes I felt like all those sex scenes took more precedence than there was actual story line. Sometimes these scenes would take over 2 whole chapters at a time. I would have rather had a lot more story, than all those sex scenes. On the plus side......I absolutely loved all those great descriptions of Charlie's sculptures, and I fell in love with the Zanti misfits! When they were describing the fountains and the sculpture, I could see it so vividly in my minds eye. I also loved the way Sebastain & Charlie were able to bring out the best of each other, when no one else ever could. I loved Francine. What a total sweetheart, and brave, too. Of course no one will ever be as sweet & caring like Bob & Susan, they have to be the most lovable and caring couple I've ever met. It was also great to catch up with Will, Harper, Jeremy, Noah, and all of the other Maverick's again.I can't say that about Whitney, though. My only hope is that Evan will someday soon wake up and see her for the hateful witch that she's become. I don't in any way, shape, or form buy that she's that way because of the miscarriages. Heck, I'm even stating to wonder if there were even miscarriages at all, and not abortions. Or if she just faked the whole pregnancy thing in the first place, just to get attention. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems aweful funny that she's so into trying to be the limelight all the time, and she very rarely bothers with anyone--- that doesn't in some way or another---serve as a purpose to her.On the flip side, I can't wait to see what Ms. Andre has in store for Matt in the next book.

Characters didn't convince me
I felt like the H and h were the whining twins. Yes, he had terrible parents and an awful childhood. BUT he was taken in as a teenager by great people. He had a solid relationship with found “siblings”. He was so successful he became a billionaire. Yet the whole book he stove for perfection and never felt good enough. She had great talent, a billionaire who loved her and a bright future. Yes, her mother, who never complained, had a disease. Her complaint (hear whine) was that too many parties with people who intimidated her kept her away from her art. She had too many commissions for things she had no inspiration for. Time was limited so she couldn’t teach. Sounds like a pretty good life to me. I just did not connect with how ungrateful I found the main characters to be.Positive note: the editing was better than average.

Good Romance
This is a good romance, and a good addition to The Maverick Billionaires series.I liked both Sebastian and Charlie, but did get a little tired of all the angst over whether they were right for each other. Sebastian was sure that his past meant he wasn't good enough for Charlie. Charlie didn't think she belonged in a billionaire's world, and was sure that Sebastian would get tired of her. Their thoughts about this were repeated so often that they got really old.I also thought it was odd that Charlie was described as an independent woman, yet she just couldn't seem to stand up to Sebastian about his plans for her career. His plans were not what she wanted, but she didn't tell him for a long time, almost derailing their relationship. Her inability to tell him how she felt is not the behavior of an "independent" woman. This one get 3.5 stars from me, rounded up to 4 stars.

Just Okay
I have always loved Bella Andre's book. I read and sometimes re-read the entire Sullivan Series. When I see Bella's name I usually just buy it. I'm sorry to say that lately I've been disappointed in her books. I know she collaborated with Jennifer Sully but when her name is on it she should be the best. The story was good but so redundant. They kept saying the same lines over and over again. After awhile it was like a broken record. Come on Bella you can do a lot better.

Artist and Suit
Sebastian, a motivational speaker and Charlie, artist in metalwork, how can these two possibly join their lives together and make it work. Sebastian’s main concern is their relationship becoming toxic due to disappointment and different life goals. Charlie is apprehensive because she likes her unstructured, go with the flow lifestyle and hates when the man she is interested in tries to change her. So what will happen when custom made suits clashes with overalls and headgear? Only way to save the relationship is compromise, but at what costs?

Great read! 👍
This is the second time I am trying to write this review! This page doesn't make it easy to edit errors! I just wish I could remember what I said the first time. 😀 Maybe that is why so many books these days are in terrible need of better editing. This is a great love story. It also shows how a person might not be what you might have expected. Money doesn't always make a person impertinent, rude. The giving and supportive nature of a person can be so heart-warming. There was a little more sexual content than I felt was necessary to impact the story. It was not a problem for me, I just skipped over much of it. If it's a problem for you, maybe this is not a story for you. Personally I can't wait to read the next book in this series!

Perfection everybody would like that but he expected to achieve it every time
Sebastian saw Charlie in what appeared to be a junk yard but this was her heaven this is where she created , this is where he saw a vision and fell immediately. Charlie is very independent and only dreams of fame that was until Sebastian asks her to create something for his New office, the first thing people will see when they enter the building. She needs to see where it's to go so she can get inspiration. This vs move very quickly with Sebastian and Charlie he wants to introduce her around so she can get more commissioning and although she is getting money in to give her mother who is in a nursing home she wants to get her into a better place but Sebastian wants so much for her and her mother that he forgets she is trying to create too and it's becoming too much. It's not all plane saling and she has to get through to him she is not miss perfect and he needs to stop pushing. This is a hot fun and thought provoking story did I tell you it's HOT

Sebastian commissions Charlie (Charlotte) to make something for his office. She uses junk to make masterpieces and he wants one of her pieces. He sees the potential for her work to brighten up the place but he also wants her to brighten up his life. There is this unmistakeable bond between them and especially between Sebastian and Chalrlie’s mum. He spends so much time trying to help her and yet he cant which hurt him. He only wants to make their lives easier. However from the beginning it is obvious that he wants Charlie and that Charlie wants him. However she's not convinced that the amount of money that she's been given is also payment for her to sleep with him.Sebastian sets out on a mission to prove that he does truly have feeling for her and that he wants her. He meets her mother and oh my days I fell in love with him so much more. He's so alpha and yet so caring. He wants to do anything he can to ease her suffering and I must say that is the most endearing thing about him.Sebastian's bond with his family and Charlie's bond with hers makes this book an all rounder and one of my favourite books this year! This book is Bella and Jennifer masterpiece and it's been worth the wait.<3 <3 <3 <3 <3

It's OK, not as good as first but....
So I read the first one in this series, Breathless in Love, and enjoyed it. This one however took me a while to get into. The characters were growing on me and both were rather sweet but then after the half way point I just started to dislike Sebastian. I'm not sure why, if it was because he was coming on too strong which I do appreciate was the point, but then I just didn't care about them. With this said, I have bought the next 4 books just to see how the other mavericks turn out. I know they will find love but there are two, Evan and matt, I'm interested in finding out more even though one has already been set up n the first two books so interested to see if I'm right. OK to pass the time.

Another brilliant read
Wow!!!! Another brilliant read from 2 amazing AuthorsSebastian Montgomery is one of the leading media moguls in the world and also one of the Maverick Group and when he spots a sculpture he looks for the artist Charlie Ballard and commissions her to do a sculpture for his new high rise building. What he gets in return is a love and understanding and sometimes turbulent moments when he tries to fix her problems, he doesn't realise that all Charlie wants is him but he has to go overboard to fix things so people can have a better life a better life his parents didn't give him they squashed everything good in his life so he tries sometimes to hard to help others.Charlie and her mother Francine helps Sebastian with everything they have even tho Francine has crippling arthritis, it's a beautiful story of terrible times that hurt and beautiful times of love I especially love the epilogue were Matt Tremont another Maverick explains the sculpture I got chill-bumps as if the thing was real the way a movie plays and you get the feelings as you watch I've never had that in a book before but this is diffidently a must read I'd give 10stars if I could 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
