This is without doubt the best trading book I have ever read. It strips away the often confusing and conflicting theory of trading, and presents a real world practical guide (with countless examples and strategies) as to how the markets actually work, and how a trader can approach them and gain an edge, to establish a consistent and profitable system. Written in a no nonsense manner, by real traders who have spent a lifetime at the coal face perfecting their craft. Simply awesome, thank you Linda and Larry for taking the time out to pass on your hard earned wisdom.

No more technical analysis books but patterns that can be applied for real trading with strict entries and stop losses. THE BOOK.

There are a number of very good strategies and thoughts in this book. Worthwhile reading, but expensive. There's quite a bit about gapping, which isn't very applicable to some of today's 24-hour markets. The authors are somewhat vague in their suggestions of locking in profits. An extra chapter with more detailed thoughts on when to move stops and more precise recommendations for trailing stops would have been of interest.

Don't bother wasting your money on this book - the strategies are outdated (going back to the mid-90s) and they don't work in the current markets when backtested...
