Affordable Waterman!
Some Waterman pens are out of my price range, but this one is fits my budget & lifestyle. Not only that, it is beautiful & writes well (so smoothly). It is a joy to use.The cartridges are a smidge on the pricey side, but they are high quality (just like this pen). The long cartridges last a long time so I get my money's worth. All around, a wonderful product.

It's basic and good
A good basic Fountain Pen for the beginner as well as the veteran user. A good price and good quality

It's a good starter pen, but not as smooth as the competition.
I've owned this pen for well over a year, so I can give a long term opinion.Pros:- The barrel and cap feel high quality, and have a durable finish. (No scratches yet.)- Pen is resistant to clogging- A plunger converter is available, making refills affordable.- Fine tip is easy to control and is well balanced, so it rarely bleeds through paper- I found that is has never leaked. Of course, I am not careless, so your milage may vary.Cons:- The grip for your fingers feels cheap and plastic- Nib is somewhat scratchy compared to the Pilot metropolitan and Lamy safari, which are near this in price. The quality isn't quite on the same level. On the whole, the scratchy nib actually does make it easier to control, but less pleasant to write with. It also looks nicer than the Lamy Safari, and comes in more appealing colors than the Pilot Metropolitan. Who is this for? If you want a stylish, more controllable pen, for casual notes, this is a good choice. However, if you are going to be doing a lot of writing, you might want to consider something else.

Excellent writing and fits in your hands nicely
I love writing instruments. Up until now, I had only one fountain pen, a Montblanc. I use it to write a weekly journal. Everything else in my life is digital but I like putting pen to paper and watch my thoughts of reflection flow from in a tiny bead of ink from the nib, glistening for a moment before embedding straight down onto paper. But since I'll be traveling extensively for the next few years, I wanted to take a not so expensive fountain pen with me to avoid the heartache should I lose it. I tried several kinds. I figure something less than $100 wouldn't be too painful to lose. Some looked nice but the ink flow was splotchy. Others felt uncomfortable or odd to my fingers as I wrote with them.Being this was on the lower price range $15, I didn't have much expectation for this fountain pen. Was I ever delightfully surprised. I like the feel of it as I use it. It's not too big and it's not too small. The ink flowed smooth from the nib; usually fine nibs such as what I bought have a tendency to scratch or skip but not this one. It wrote as smoothly as my Montblanc. I have since used Montblanc Royal Blue cartridges for it to match what I'm used to. I like how the cap snaps on and off. The cap also posts solidly on the pen when in used. The color of the pen is also very nice.I like it so much I bought a second one in another color. This is my hearty recommendation of this product.

Great pen, great price
After trying the similar, slightly plainer chrome Graduate pen, I liked that one so well that I then ordered two of these Graduate Allure pens in the blue color, one to gift. This Allure pen writes just as well as the chrome Graduate and is another great inexpensive fountain pen. It's good for beginners or experienced pen users. It has a fine nib, which is a Western fine, similar to what would be a Japanese medium nib.I gave the section with the nib a quick wash with a drop of Dawn in warm water and rinsed it, and it has had no skips, hard starts, or any other problems. I don't know if that's necessary, but it's something I do with all new fountain pens. The nib is smooth and and lays down the perfect amount of ink. This is a good all-purpose pen if you like slimmer pens. It is long enough that I can use it unposted. The body is a very pretty shade of blue, not a basic plain blue, and looks just like its photo on my screen. Maybe more like a periwinkle blue. Waterman Serenity Blue is a good complementary color of ink for it. The country of origin is not marked, but the nib and cap are both marked Waterman.I use a Waterman converter in it so I can use bottled inks, but it comes with one long disposable ink cartridge and is packaged in a gift box. This is an excellent pen at a great price, and I'm now a big fan of Waterman pens. Just wish it included an ink converter for use with bottled inks, but many pens don't include one so that's not a deal-breaker.I got a good deal on a package of Waterman ink converters, so this pen has replaced the equally great Pilot Metropolitan as my recent go-to gift pen.

Nice pen. Nice price
I have a cross fountain pen and enjoy it. I wanted a second to pen for my upstairs desk. This pen writes well and the refills are almost twice as Large as the cross pens. I would surely buy this pen again as the refill bladders are large, the cap snaps on tight and the pen writes smooth.

Good for beginners
The media could not be loaded. First of all, I am new to the world of fountain pens. In reading reviews, it seemed that this particular brand has a good reputation of making nice pens. It IS a nice pen, I'll say that. It write very smooth. My only complaint is that when I put the cap on the top while I'm writing, it's scratched the pen up, which is a bummer because it's such a lovely writing instrument.
