LOVE the show
Just to be clear this isn't a review on the show, I absolutely love Lucifer and can't wait for season 5 (Like OMD the trailer that came out today). so if I was just reviewing the show I would defiantly give 5 stars. However, what I'm annoyed about is the care given to the product in delivery. First of all, before I even opened the envelope I could feel that there was a DVD loose. And as it happened, as I opened the cased the one disk almost lodged itself between the seal of the case. If I hadn't expected it to happen the dvd would have been totally ruined. And even though there are slight marks on the disk (which is still bad) the disk does seem to play just fine so far. THANK Whoever! So amazon are lucky I am just writing a review and not a complaint. Also, it definitely isn't a problem with the quality of the disk holders (I'll get into that in a second) because when I put the disk back in, it held fine. However, the case itself was also cracked and doesn't close properly. Which doesn't look great the display DVDs on a shelf. Fortunately, I had I spare case similar to the original so I won't be bothering with the hassle of sending it back. In conclusion, I highly recommend the show so if you haven't already watched it you definitely should. However, If you're looking to get a copy on DVD I would say be careful (especially when opening the case and don't shake it too much) Alternatively, there are other sites that take a lot more care with their DVDs. HMV for one does deliver quickly. Just not as quickly as prime and you may pay slightly more but not much. There is also the Warner bros online store. Here the DVDs the the same price (and you even get a discount when you first sign up) and it's free delivery. I just don't know for sure who they send parcels though but it takes 2-3 days. Anyway, I will still use amazon all I say is to be careful with DVDs. And yes, this review is very much turning into a rant. Im not just in that bad of a mood I am just very protective over my DVDs and like to keep them safe and clean.

Season excellent, DVD not
Lucifer moving to Netflix allowed them to do things that they couldn't do on regular channels. Better special effects, better settings, and taking more risks with characterisation. The whole of season 4 is based around Lucifer's crisis of identity, and him working out who he is, and also the changed relationship between him and Det. Decker after the events at the end of season 3. This means that there are moments in the series that are incredibly touching and intimate. To my mind this is the best season yet. It's just a shame that when Netflix decided to release to DVD they didn't give the series the consideration it deserves. Previous seasons have had extras on the DVD - behind the scenes, interviews with the cast, gag reel etc. This DVD has nothing. A handful of deleted scenes and that's it. It's such a pity and kinda gives the impression that Netflix don't really give much of a thought to the fans that saved Lucifer in the first place.

DEVILISH AUDACITY
The show revitalized? Viewers will judge. Just ten episodes this time, deleted scenes the only bonuses. One thing for sure. Creators cannot be accused of showing restraint. Enter Eve, feisty and glamorous. She is bored with life as Heaven's first human resident. Now in Los Angeles, she seeks Lucifer, longing to recreate the excitement experienced with him in the Garden of Eden. (The series is thus strictly for fans. Those easily offended will have left long ago.)Foremost here are Lucifer's attempts not to be regarded as Evil Incarnate, helping the police solve crimes hopefully improving his image. As ever, pyschiatrist Linda has her work cut out, patients from Heaven and Hell among her clientele. Soon she herself will be faced with unique extra responsibilities.Again a mixture of fun and matters more serious (including a telling swipe at racially motivated white cops.) Certain aspects prove very moving, surprisingly so. Tom Ellis is in fine form, admirers no doubt ecstatic when he investigates murder in a nudist colony. The dramatic finale impresses. What for Lucifer now when painfully aware of what needs to be...?

Puts a Devilish smile on your face.
Great continuation of the Netflix Lucifer series, introducing a new character from the bible story, and introducing you to new relationships with the original characters . Also with a few great outtakes, spoiler alert leaves you with a massive cliffhanger.

TV show review
This series just keeps on getting better. Enjoyable episodes that advance the arc slowly and deliberately. The characters are well developed and the crimes being investigated are as good as most police procedurals. However, to really enjoy this season, you should watch the previous three.
