After seeing this in the shower of the VRBO rental, we pulled our shower drain plug at home and replaced it with this. I am always amazed how much hair it catches since my hair is only a few inches longer than my chin. Great idea! (With our drain set-up, it just sits over the drain, so I can't speak about the suction.)

This sits perfectly over top of the original drain and stays put. I love it.

Super easy to install - just laid it flat over the existing shower drain (the kind in the center of the shower floor). Catches more hair than the “shroom” style filter plug and it’s very easy to lift the hair off and discard. With the “shroom” I have to rip hair off of it and the part that goes in the drain gets slimy and moldy. This doesn’t seem to build up soap scum and slime like that and just a light scrub while cleaning the shower works fine. The only thing keeping it from five stars is that the surface can feel a little rough and sharp underfoot - however, I think that may also be what makes it so good at catching hair, even hair from when we wash the dog.

Great for keeping the drain from clogging. Installed on to 2 stand up shower. It came with silicon inserts to keep the strainer in place.

This is a simple thing, when it works, it's great, when it doesn't it's so annoying! My 20 year old plastic hair catcher, which wasn't that good to begin with, was worse than ever, so I decided to (easily I thought) find a new one. Tried one and it was AWFUL! Didn't catch anything! I sent it back and tried this one, figuring it was too simple to work properly. IT WORKS GREAT! Stays put, catches all my short hair, fits on the bathtub drain without any fiddling, cleans up easily and the water and soap suds drain right out, no puddle in the tub! I am one happy old lady!! Highly recommend!

I bought this to replace the cheap aluminum danco drain covers I had. Those were perfect... This doesn't work at all!Since it's larger and it's thicker, it sits above and around the existing drain. Unless it was flush with the existing drain, and impossible for hair to get under it, I can't see any way it would work for anyone. I have a standing shower with tile interior. The drain size is approximately 3.5. this is larger so it sits over the top. It claims that it stops hair regardless, but how would it?Firstly, it slows the flow of water draining because the water has to fill to the 3mm height of the thing to start draining, but worse, it's not fastened down, so hair can simply slide under.I've had this for about a week, I used the two black rubber 'fastners' to keep it in place. Two major problems with the design, number 1, the fasteners don't serve the purpose they are intended for. They are too short and the piece floats up. Perhaps if they somehow hinged into the existing drain, it would help but that's not the case, it sits on top and provides zero purpose.Problem number 2 is that even though I've seen diligent about ensuring this stays in place as best I could with the issue of the water filling higher and draining slower, and the cover floating up as little as possible, I lifted it this am and there was hair underneath. It wasn't blocking the hair...I decided it was prudent to pour lye down the drain and I immediately purchased a new danco cover that works better. Those don't last forever but I'd rather replace it every so often than have this big stupid thing that doesn't stay down or function.I wish they could make the product that works in a more solid form. A flat stainless steel cover with long metal pieces that fully implant into the existing drain. Obviously, l do not want a that plastic wall blocking the draining. That would only prevent draining and cause hair to go under, or the cover to float up!Don't waste your money on this. The return process was easy but the whole debacle was pointless.

I like how this thing stays flat on the drain hole. Its easy to clean and with the holes its easily drains the water. I like when the hairs starts to go in the middle of this filter leaving some holes open for drain. Ive use known brand but it wasent good enough, they drain slow and not easy to clean and remove the hairs around it.

Muy efectiva, si se detiene el pelo y evita por mucho estar limpiando la coladera de la regadera. Pero eso sí hay que limpiarlo pero ya no contiene mucha cantidad de pelos 👍
