Very useful cuz the other one was
Can't find some famous people who ought to be "in here" and some don't matter, as long as God keeps us slightly sane. Keep faith, no matterwhat. Very useful cuz the other one was ?a 2007? Sorry for irrational rants - but rating a book does not matter in the long run. Keep breathing.Subject to change without notice- as my Steve mutters...

"Always a Quality publication"
ALWAYS been a quality publication, but getting much older now, the print is WAY too small. Kinda weird, the only way I can comfortable read is with (2) 1.5x reading glasses attached to each other. Have no idea why a 3x doesn't work as well. lol.

and I like to have one handy
I couldn't find a WORLD ALMANAC anywhere in our small town, so I ordered from Amazon.I use an almanac occasionally to look up information about all sorts of things, and I like to have onehandy.

SQUINT CITY!
Chocked full of everything one might need or want to know...a trivia lover's dream. The only downside? The INCREDIBLY SMALL PRINT! This item should come with a standard magnifying glass thrown in. Is paper in short supply these days?

Great bk for the rite kid
Son loves this book. He was 10 when he received this. Very dry reading, but he curls right up to this book & soaks up all the facts. He's had it at least a year now & I still find his nose pressed into it. I would not, however, get him any additional (newer) editions. The facts/stats just don't change enough to warrent a new one.

I love my copy
For all you Jeopardy fans, this is the book to get! I love my copy. World's tallest building? Check. Deadliest tornado? Check. Most NHL goals in a season? Done and done. The only gripe I have with the book is the small print. If you have bad eyesight get the hardcover copy instead. It costs more but the type is much larger! Worth the money. Very entertaining book.

Just the facts, Ma'am
Extremely boring. No colored pictures. But, it has a lot of facts. I check out the standards of living for several countries that I was thinking about for retirement, or in case you-know-who got elected. Sad smile. Seems a competent source, but I bet the internet is faster and more accurate. Good if the grid goes down. And if you still want to know stuff.

American centred with tiny, tiny, hard to read print
Get the hardcover version. The paperback version of the World Almanac and Book of Facts is fine and accurate. Two cautions. It is very American centred, so a lot about US states and Presidents. The print is tiny and hard to read. The second is a great shame because much of the content is fascinating. But I needed a magnifying glass to see some of it, and this is the reason I returned it. The book size is just about the same as a large paperback and not the expected A4 of books like Guinness.

Kaizen!
I suggest that the editors survey their readers and ask about the print size. Much of the text is comprehensible only with a magnifying glass.
