Does the job.
Used in conjunction with air con gas cartridges on my 12 year old diesel passat. Air con now much better.

Great product to use
Used it to recharge the air con on my car and it was easy to use and gave the correct readings.

ALL YOU NEED TO RECHARGE, BUT HAVE TO FOLLOW THESE STEPS IN ORDER...
Good bit of kit and it works every time. You can measure the pressure in the system before recharging (no canister needed for that) and you can use it to recharge. To just measure the existing gas, before you connect anything to the 'L' low pressure valve of the car, you have to screw the butterfly connector at one end all the way IN (turn clockwise). You'll see the needle that pierces the canister poking out slightly, but this is the position you want before it's connected to car port (otherwise your existing air con gas will start to gush out through this hose as you connect it)Once you've checked your pressure, disconnect hose from the car end. Then undo the butterfly connector all the way UP (counterclockwise) Now you are ready to connect the canister with fresh gas if you need to top up.If topping up the gas, switch engine on, air con to full power for 3 minutes and leave running while doing the following:Screw the canister in fully into the hose. Then connect the instantaneous coupling to the car port (low pressure), now PURGE the air and moisture that is inside the hose by unscrewing slowly the canister, until you hear a bit of gas coming out of the canister to hose coupling. (You don't want to push that air with moisture into your system) After a small release of gas, screw the canister all the way back in again. Then proceed to screw the butterfly connector in. You'll feel it piercing the can. Pierce the can fully and then back out the butterfly connector a bit. At this point, when the can starts releasing it's content through hose, position the can upside down and move/shake gently, to empty its contents into the system.Watch the gauge go up...it will vary up and down as the car compressor kicks in and out. When the can is empty, or pressure is at the required level, screw the butterfly connector on top of canister back in all the way, and then disconnect the hose from the car. You're done!
