I'm lazy making chawanmushi. And far from expert. But I add these and really like the flavor it brings. Don't know if that's traditional, but for me it brings something to the game. A little goes a long way for that.Jars came packaged well, no leaks. Price is what it is.

Adding memma to ramen bowl really does the job- bring authentic flavor. I love memma.

Great menma, taste is on point. Unfortunately, the jars are quite small, don't last long and are over $7 a piece.

If you like Menma, you'll love these. Just don't think about the cost when buying them. I have no idea why bamboo shoots and soy sauce is so expensive, nor why it's only available imported from Japan. I think they had a first-class seat on the plane ride over here.

Perfect addition to my ramen. Enjoyable! A little tricky to keep for long because there's not much liquid in the jar (so once it's open, the shoots are exposed to the air).
