Birdy The Mighty - Decode 1 [DVD] (12)

This out of print release from Manga is one of quality, since the video is a beautiful sharp 576 progressive (does not look like upscaled NTSC), and the audio is....... well, there is nothing wrong with it. There are no bonus features, but that is probably due to none ever being made, which is fair. I won't review the show itself since IMDB exists, but I will only say that there are SOME rare moments of QUALITY, but those are kept to a minimum and can be tolerated, considering the overall 8/10 presentation. The subtitles' shape could have been better though.If anyone is ever to re-release this show in the UK, I would personally recommend whatever company with good enough taste to do it, to use this existing footage, since there is nothing wrong with it.

birdy the mighty decode 1 is based off a old ovabirdy is full off drama ,slap stick comdey and good fight scenes, it feels like a mix off green lantern and men in black with a anime spin ,dont let the cover put you off there is no fan service in this anime check out my youtube review look out for british anime empire for a full birdy review , deffo check this gem out dont pass it up

Sexy, funny and well told. This is how animes should be. The other reviews reflect my own feelings in detail. One of the 10% of animes I kept for another view.Some, even good, animes are only good for a season or two before they have nowhere left to go. Even though the end was perfectly satisfactory I would still like to see another series or two.

Birdy the mighty is decent mix of sci fi, action, romance, comedy and tiny bit slice of life. It juggles these genres well throughout this 13 episode set and is sure to appeal to fans of any of the above.Birdy offers some fantastic animation and a slew of memorable characters. The story is both unique and engaging and by the end you'll probably be begging for box set 2 (realesed very soon :D). The fight scenes are very impressive with some really great/ flowing animation. My one gripe is that there werent too many fights in this first set (4 really great fights in total in my opinion). The story alone was enough to cary my interest all the way to the end though.The final episode and climax of this set was... by no means dissapointing but... it couldve been better, and earlier episodes only prove to make this more apparent with their well above average quality.All in all I say birdy is well worth a buy despite some minor pacing issues in the middle episodes of this set and a climax that doesnt live up to its build up.For me personaly Birdy is definatly a candidate for my best purchase of 2011 and I'm greatly looking forwards to set two.I hope you all found this at least a little bit helpfull.Thanks for reading.

great anime. combat animation are beautiful, nice chara design too . the story is original , i do recommand this anime with no fanservice( that is very rare).
