Q: I am a doctor and need to visualise nail beds; can you stick a finger between the lens and foot plate and focus on the nail bed?

The gap between the two is 1.75 cm. I can get a finger under but not my thumb! There is no focusing mechanism other than moving the specimen towards and away from the fixed lens. Afraid I do not think what you have in mind is suitable for this item..

Q: Can anyone add a pic taken through it looking at a coin please?

I have a Minolta Dimage camera and I take photos OK the lens on the camera just fits the magnifier

Q: How good is the build quality and the quality of the lens?

Hi The build quality is very good, its solid and feels well made. The lens is quite good I use it for looking at stamps and it does a good job the only real negative is that the led lights are on a push switch, you push once and the white leds light but when you push again the uv leds light but in daylight you do not see them so I have left them on many times without noticing.

Q: I have one of these Lupes but the light wont go on now????

My light still fine. Maybe battery or led may need changing
