This dryer is light at less than one pound (.79 lbs) and ergonomically designed to prevent wrist/hand fatigue and discomfort during use. However, do not let the light design fool you, this is a powerful dryer featuring and 1800 watt long lasting powerful motor. The dryer features 3 different temperature settings along with 2 speed settings. A unique feature of the Karmin Salon Series is it's Electronic Ion Generator which helps to dry your hair up to 70% faster with less damage to create a long lasting shine and smooth texture. With the flip of a switch you can choose between negative or positive ions and the system generates over 300 million! This allows complete flexibility for your styling needs (great for frizz/humidity control). The heater features pure ceramic coils and the nozzle itself is even coated with ceramic to provide far infrared heat which will dry you hair while helping to maintain the the hair's moisture balance. This will create much healthier looking, less damaged hair. Included in the package with the 1800 Watt Karmin Salon Series dryer is a diffuser attachment. Disappointed with a dead expensive dryer
Dryer quit working while under warranty. Company said they would send a replacement and several weeks later no replacement has arrived. When follow up contacts have been attempted to figure out what was going on the company does not respond.

Nice, high-end hair dryer
I bought this hairdryer after my Chi stopped working. I love how lightweight it is and the different temp options are very helpful. It took me a while to get used to where the buttons are but now is becoming second nature. This dryer does a great job of quickly drying my hair, while leaving it smooth and shiny. If you’re in the market for a salon quality hair dryer, this is a good one!

Plug broken after five days of use.
Although this is a really light and gentle dryer, after using it for just five days, when I reached and pulled the plug out, it separated at the seams. As this happened, part of the plug fell out. Too bad, it's really a nice dryer. I did reorder and will electrical tape the plug so this won't happen again!

Lightweight, powerful, and still going strong after a year of use!
Karmin Salon Series Ultralight Professional Ionic Hair Dryer I bought this hairdryer in November of 2014. After owning my FHI Nano Salon Pro 2000 for one and a half years, it blew out on me, releasing a disgusting smell of burning plastic. I was not thrilled that my FHI had to be thrown out after just 1.5 years of moderate use. The 1 year warranty on my FHI hairdryer was up, so I was out of luck. I had to go on the hunt for a new hairdryer that wouldn't crap out on me after 1.5 years of use.I came across the Karmin Salon Series on Amazon and was impressed by the mechanics and design of the dryer. I thought it was too good to be true, and was initially reluctant to buy due to of the low number of reviews at the time. I compared the Karmin against hairdryers in the T3 line, FHI line, and several other top brands of hairdryers. I'm very thorough when picking beauty/self-care items, and after comparing the drying power, ion features, weights, and designs of each hairdryer on my list, I decided to go ahead and take the plunge on the Karmin Salon Series. I LOVED IT when I finally bought it one year ago (Nov. '14) and ONE YEAR LATER I STILL LOVE IT! Here's why:-- The THREE year warranty! Most hairdryers I researched had a 1 year warranty. Because of my bad experience with the FHI dying after 1.5 years, I wanted to invest in a product that the company stood behind. With a 3 year warranty, Karmin definitely stands behind their product and that's one thing that I value in a high end product.-- The DRYING POWER! (In combination with the positive/negative ion feature!) My hair looks shiny, silky, and soft after I use my Karmin. It takes me LESS THAN HALF THE TIME to dry my hair when I use my Karmin compared to when I would use the FHI. Additionally, my hair did not look this shiny and healthy after using the FHI. I have had EXCELLENT results with my Karmin <3-- IT'S SO LIGHT! I have long, thick hair and a heavy hairdryer is torture on my hand/wrist. When I owned the FHI, I wouldn't blow dry my hair as often because I would dread the time it would take, and the pain my wrist would feel at the end of the hairdrying session. As a result, I would go to class with unrefined looking hair (not a great way to start your day). It's the total opposite experience when I use my Karmin. It's light, easy to hold, and I don't have to hold it as long (because it dries my hair so damn fast).Most importantly, Karmin has demonstrated excellence in customer service so far. The Karmin company keeps in touch with me (via email), offers great deals (earlier this year it was a buy 1 get 1 free sitewide promotion. Here's hoping that they'll do it again this year!), and is interested in making my customer experience a positive one. Ultimately, I feel like a valued customer instead of a consumer. It's refreshing and nice. (I suggest registering your Karmin hairdryer on the Karmin website -- it'll verify that you have an authentic product and you'll get the 3 year warranty as well).I highly reccommend this hair dryer. Great product, great customer service, and GREAT warranty. If you're feeling skeptical because of the low number of reviews, I say take a chance and go for this hairdryer! You won't regret it! (I bought mine when there were fewer than 5 reviews).

Lightweight . Awesome design. Hair gets dry fast and is not loud. Is just PERFECT!!! Love it!
