OK you use the real for a while and now it’s starting to real tight, these are great reels, and all they need is a little TLC.Here’s how to fix it, take the reel apart to where you can get in the back and the shaft that has the gear on it and you will notice a spring on that shaft. If you notice carefully on the shaft, you can see where the spring is digging in.Take you a small grinder and grind the shaft down. Fixed I guess some of the reels coming from the factory they’re coming out with this problem. I did this to mine, and it reels smooth as silk. I am guessing I have two or 3000 cast on it.I don’t charge for this information but I do like a good fishing story once in a while. 😂😂😂😂

I am teaching to young girls to fish and a reel that was easy to use and also good quality to not lock up, overspill when casting,etc. you know what I mean. First out of the box the reel felt solid and looked like it was made from quality materials, machined and casted well. After it was mounted to a good medium light rod I strung up a test casting weight and was I surprised at the smooth cast, and the just as smooth retrieve. Then off to the lake to have the youngsters try it and waiting for the mishaps to happen, I never once had a bundle of tangled line from overspooling. They appeared to be first time fisher proof lol. The second trip to the lake was the same result. I always have one extra rod set up in the boat as a back up so when a mishap happens just grab the extra rod and it can be dealt with later and no lost fishing time, but wanted to test these out first before ordering a third. I now have a third set up the same way as the other two and could not be happier with the results I got on a chance. I would highly recommend these and I may even consider more in the future.

I needed to replace an old reel that the drag quit working on. Still wanted a simple operating reel for my Girlfriend who only fish's once in a while but also wanted a reel I could trust if she hooked a bigger fish. KastKing checked all the boxes of what I needed.

Performance and durability.By FAR the best reel in my line up for my children. Larger than I had anticipated, but I have Never ran a reel so smooth. The quality in material is a given! Both look and feel. Casting and retrieving 3-5lb catfish at children's rodeo was a blast over the wkend. Love this reel.

Quality seems to come up short, but casts better than a zebco for the kids

I have used spincast reels for over 40 years. Johnson, Zebcos, Diawa, others. This has the smoothest drag, nicest cast, and fantastic speed of any I have used.Switching from right to left is easy. My nephew is a lefty, so he's getting one for his birthday instead of his Zebco 33.A little more money, but well worth it!
