Vallejo Anthracite Model, 17ml

Great product. Versatile color

Used for weathering model trains. Amazon’s review system is forcing me to review two colors in one review, so here goes:What this seller calls “Blue Angels Blue” is actually Vallejo’s “Deep Blue.” It looks like it would do very well for a Blue Angels jet, but they should call it by the right name. I used it to weather several CSX locomotives, and when mixed with some white, it did an excellent job of giving the CSX blue a faded look.If you need to depict mud splash in Mid-Atlantic states, this Vallejo “Dirt” shade is the stuff for that yellow-brown dirty/muddy look.Both colors hand-brush and airbrush well. I use thinner for airbrushing these, but I know others who don’t.

I have begun using this for stones and skulls - both full strength with a dark wash, or watered down if I’m going over an existing tone. It is a bright warm grey by itself - it does seem to need other tones to pull it down to be a supporting player rather than a hero.

Perfect for customizing my Star Wars Black Series figures. This one I used Middlestone as the main color.

I got these for airbrushing my Warhammer miniatures. Most metallic paints look pretty bad when airbrushed on due to the nature of how it's made - the mica particles suspended in the paint get too spaced out which makes it look glittery.With the VMA, the pigments are ground much more finely and it does not suffer from this problem. Coverage is great, and once dry is a good color match for the gunmetal shades that most of the other lines use. I like it a lot. As far as I go, I think Vallejo Model Air is the *only* line of airbrush metallics.

If you're looking for a color that matches the brown flight suits for WWII Japanese pilots this comes as close as I have seen. With a little tweaking with flat white and olive drab this color makes great looking finishes on worn seat cushions (B-17, Jeep, UH-1D Hueys, you get the idea).

As ever up to Vallejo high standards, the paint goes through my airbrush with a .28 needle without any thinning and without a problem. As a true acrylic it easily beats other 'acrylics' which have a spirit content. Highly recommended.

Los acrílicos de Vallejo son bastante buenos , la única pega es que son pinturas vinílicas , pero bien por lo general , directo del bote al aerógrafo ( obviamente hay que ajitarlo un poco antes ) y no se atasca sale bastante bien la pintura y por lo general no da problemas , bien como siempre por Amazon en el envío y empaquetado de los productos pero este tipo de artículos hay que buscar bien y esperar alguna oferta porque de lo contrario esta clase de productos son bastante bastante caros
