Amazing, smooth, and accurate!
The media could not be loaded. This will be a thorough review, so brace yourselves. (and maybe grab a cup of coffee)I have always used the DJI Ronin products professionally for videos. Typically, I would rent this type of equipment for my projects, along with other items. This time I wanted to actually buy a gimbal that was affordable and just as functional as the big guys out there.Summary: The FeiyuTech AK2000S packs a big punch in its small form and affordable price. I would recommend this to anyone looking for stable and smooth-active footage from their relatively small video cameras (and mirrorless cameras). Why?For me there were three key requirements: ease of setup, smooth and accurate use, and functionality.Ease of Setup: I can say with confidence that this gimbal is easier to setup and balance than any Ronin gimbal I have used. Of course your first attempt may take longer, but as soon as you get the hang of it, it'll take just a few minutes. One of the biggest mistakes people make is not setting up the actual camera body and lens prior to calibrating/balancing. If you have a flip screen, make sure it's at its useful position. If you are adding cards, do it before balancing. If you are using a zoom lens that retracts in/out, make sure you choose your focal length prior to balancing. All of these key steps will become a habit after you've used a gimbal several times.Smoothness and Accuracy: The best and worst thing about gimbals is that they are electronic. Meaning, they rely on their internal technology to sense the balance of gravity and level of the camera. My biggest complaint about other gimbal manufacturers is that if your gimbal decides that perfectly-level is actually tilted to the left/right, you will never be able to counteract the calibration. Even the apps that allow you to micro-calibrate the gimbal may not always help when you're filming fast sequences with a lot of movement. The AK2000S seems to be spot on, no matter how fast I'm physically moving or turning, the level is spot on, according to my camera's level meter. This reduces a lot of unnecessary post editing.Functionality: It appears that this gimbal comes with a lot more cables than you'll ever need. But that's good on FeiyuTech, because I think they pretty much covered all of the major camera brands and their connections. In my case, I use the Panasonic GH5. I was able to use the connector that allowed the gimbal to communicate with my camera. This allows you to start/stop recording, and to even control the EV and ISO levels. Very useful, especially went you don't want to bump the camera with your finger to change settings while recording. The large dial knob on the side can function as multiple things, but my favorite is the tilt function. I can tilt the camera vertically with high precision. This is much easier than trying to do it with the thumb joystick. I wish the Ronins I used previously had this...Also, the extra handle provided in the kit is a nice touch. I don't think it's all that necessary to use, especially if you're used to not having an extension handle. But it does work well when you are trying to shoot really low shots to the floor/ground. I typically use the tri-legs as extra leverage when I shoot video. There are several things that I would change about the AK2000S:-The wooden handle, though nice looking, is quite slippery and hard to get a good grip on. I'd prefer a soft touch plastic or rubber.-When balancing the gimbal, because the parts are aluminum, they are sometimes hard to slide and adjust. They feel sticky.-There is a learning curve to this particular product. The instructions could have been more in-depth. Considering you're purchasing a gimbal for a decent amount of money, I would expect a small booklet of instructions and settings. Not everyone has the time or preference to watch a bunch of videos from the QR codes. I prefer old school manuals. (But that's just me).All in all, you will not regret this gimbal. My biggest concern was the issue with levels not being perfect when filming (as I experienced with Ronins). However, the AK2000S somehow keeps the camera level, no matter how crazy Im moving around.

Great product.. defective lock mechanism on 3rd axis pan arm see video
The media could not be loaded. Great product. Ive never personally owned one or any gimbal before and decided to commit to this one. Ive used it quite a bit now. Ergonomics are great. Feels sturdy and quality built. I thoroughly enjoy using it and once you get used to using it you can get awesomely cinematic footage. The touch screen interface makes adjusting on the fly smooth.*Only negative feedback i have is the 3rd axis pan left/right arm lock either broke or is defective and will not stay unlocked. Unlike the other lock tabs this arm unlocks by sliding the tab up but it doesnt stay up and will lock during use and cause the motor to shake/ overheat and drain battery. It may even break the motor.

Definitely take production to the next LEVEL!
My review is based off of someone who has been using the Ronin S for several years now.My thoughts...1. Light weight2. The handle makes it SO EASY to hold and get amazing footage.3. Touch screen menus4. Fast charge and lots of cables for different uses5. You could easily remove the camera off the gimbal without having to ruin your balance settings as it attaches on and off.6. Price is on point for this device. I was very happy how durable it is as the majority of it is made out of metal and the wood finish really puts a nice touch on it.So far the device has been doing everything you would expect it to and more. My favorite part is having the accessibility to attach the handle to get those clean those shots. For example I take a lot of videos of cars and just being able to put your hand on the handle and hold the gimbal from the bottom you could get pretty low with full control. So far the device has been doing everything you were expected to and more. Easy to use, robust, high quality gimbal for mirrorless cameras.
The media could not be loaded. I've been using this gimbal for the last week on some shoots, and I have to say, I love it. Its built well, easy to set up, and just works. The app feature works very well, letting you update the gimbal or set paramaters on the fly from your phone. The batteries are built in, and it's charged via USB C. So no more carrying a battery charger with you.It holds my GH5 and Leica lenses just well, however if you try put something a bit front heavy, like the Sigma 18-35, it will struggle. This is due to the arms being a bit shorter, not allowing as much fine tuning of the camera. However, if you are looking for something smaller to use while traveling, this is the gimbal for you. If you dont have the bottom tripod attached, this thing is tiny! Some things I dont like? Back to the balance issues with longer or heavier lenses. I think it would have been pretty simple to fix, but then again, they do have a bigger gimbal and I guess it would have cut sales from that. The motor settings do take some more tweaking than other gimbals to get perfect, but that's just me nit picking. Over all, this is a solid little gimbal for it's price!

Budget friendly with professional features
The media could not be loaded. I reviewed this gimbal and all I can say is that it hits all the marks for me professionally and personally. Some of my favorite features include the detachable side arm, inception mode, the screen, and the weight limit. I usually shoot with a Sony a73 with the 24-105 lens and even though it is a heavy set up, it is stable and works very well. The screen makes everything very user friendlyI am very happy with my purchase and will continue to use it on my shoots.

Very easy to set up and use
I work with several dog shelters, and i often have to take pics and videos of the dogs, which isn’t always easy as they dont stay still for the pic/video.With this device, its so easy as even if they’re moving, i can follow them and the images and videos are so much more smooth as what i was used to get.Easy to set up and control, the battery lasts for a long time (a weeks almost using it daily and still haven’t had to recharge it).The controls on teh handle are very intuitive and easy to use.Great buy for a very good price

Amazing for first time film makers
This was my first ever gimbal stabiliser purchase after scouring the internet for days looking for the perfect one to film some beginner content. And I’m glad I stumbled across this, first impressions it came in a sleek black box along with a mini tripod leg for it to stand. I then immediately gave it a test and I wasn’t disappointed smooth & stabilised shots along with spin rotation. Does what it says on the tin and for a great price. 100% recommend for any first time filmers who want some steady shots .

Wont fit Sony XA2
Its a great product and I love it but it all falls apart when the curve on my modern expense sony clips into the holder and even with the slim case off it just class the phone and frequently pops out. And I really don't want a £700 phone dropping on the floor smashing the screen sans cover

Don’t buy, it doesn’t work properly
Not worth spending you money on.I thought I needed it until I got it. Very quickly I realised that it wasn’t needed and that it didn’t work very well at all. What the YouTube reviews and see for yourself.

More than my expectations
Basically it converted my phone to a pro camera, I have a dslr camera also. It’s very good and no need to adjust the balance because it adjusts the balance automatically when you switch it on. I like more how you can move it smoothly.
