Great music but need a better binder to hold open pages easier while playing.
Good price reasonable as difficult to find some music. Better if binder is put on at Office Max or resource.

Can't beat this edition
I don't think you can go far wrong with Schirmer - very clear to read. Mr Chopin was a heck of a pianist technically and also a great musician. So what he considered mere "finger exercises" are actually great pieces of music. But, since many of them are also fiendishly difficult, I need all the fingering help I can get to somehow make it through these etudes. So I appreciate very much the fingering help in this edition.

Excellent
Editing is very good. I just wish I could play at least one of these Etudes. But, if you work through a few of them, there will be great improvement in your technique.

Excellent book with easy to read music notes. Book is well put together and looks sturdy enough to last a long time, I would buy it again, Schirmer

Great edition.
As always, the Schirmer edition is the best. Quality is good, the price is fantastic, and the editing and fingering suggestions are very good (and you definitely need them for these etudes!). The size and clarity of the print is very nice also.

I bought this as I had developed a great love for Chopin's Etudes after listening to Idil Biret's performances of them. Inspiring. Uplifting. Chopin: 12 Etudes op10 & 25 Chopin: Etudes Perhaps I could play them, I thought, naively. So I bought this excellent Friedheim edition and discovered to my horror just how demanding these pieces are. Harder (in my opinion) than the Waltzes, or Preludes, or even Nocturnes. The fact that I could have been so wide of the mark in my expectations is testimony to the supreme skill of Idil Biret. But what a great piano edition. Everything's very clear (including notation) and very well laid out. The usual battle with the spine aside, this is really good value and I would recommend it to any lover of Chopin. But for me, this is definitely music that I will have to work my way up to, probably over a very long period of time, and probably after much listening to Idil Biret!

Worst paper quality I've ever seen in a music score. Impossible to keep the pages open. A total waste.
