In order to connect the macbook , do we just used the usbc cable the monitor came with or i need to buy a usbc digital av multiport adapter ?

You can use a USB-C cable and plug it in directly to a MacBook Pro. (I have only tested the 16" MacBook Pro). However, do note that many of the menu features such as calibration only work when connected via HDMI.

Is the lg 27qn880-b vesa compliant? just in case i want to mount this in the future to the wall / use a dual monitor arm.

How can I clamp the monitor safely if my table is .5 inch thick?
