The laptops are great and perform well, but if it ever requires warranty work, you're screwed. ASUS agents can't, or won't, tell you where to buy replacement hardware for your laptop; in fact, even if you are someone with over 20 years of experience repairing computers, ASUS will not send you a simple replacement for your SSD. No, you must send your laptop to them for repair. How long are you to be without your laptop? They don't know. One agent told me to take my laptop to Best Buy as they are an authorized service center for ASUS, I said, "Great, they do warranty work?" the agent said, "No, you will have to pay for the repairs yourself." Well of what worth is their warranty? I'm going to have to pay for a new SSD out of my pocket even though its still under warranty. That bites.I had another ROG STRIX that had a motherboard go bad and it was just out of warranty by a week. I contacted ASUS because I couldn't find that motherboard anywhere. ASUS said they don't carry part like that because the ROG STRIX is built to different specs...what? You don't carry replacement parts for computers your make and you can't tell me where I can find one? I ended up sending it to New York and a shop there was able to fix the motherboard.So, laptops = excellent I own three; ASUS and their warranty/service department = SUCK I won't buy another ASUS brand computer ever again.

Absolutely beautiful. I love how fast it runs. The LED lights are also a nice touch. It charges super fast and has long lasting charge. So far, this computer is all that I hoped it would be.

I got what I paid, in good condition

I wasn't too sure about the colors as I am over 30 and this is for the current gamer generation but the ambient lighting and vibe is very relaxing and is not bright and loud as I thought it would be. I do enjoy vibrant colors so after some time with this laptop I have come to enjoy using it. My only complaint is that the asus rog features (the colors, themes, lighting, etc) will randomly stop once in a blue moon, but a quick 10sec restart turns them back on again. Also the mouse pad has died twice, but agian, a quick hard reset and its back on. Other than those 3-4 incidents it's been flawless and done what I have asked of it.

Please save your money and your time skip this laptop. Asus is a bad brand.I have used this laptop for 2 months and in that time of sitting on a desk with a cooling pad under it it has broken itself to the point of needing repair. Somehow the fan broke and the screen broke with it. Little early for it to break at 2 months but okay. Sent it in. They proceed to take a month and 2 weeks to repair and send it back. Once i got it bacl asus only repaired 1\2 things. They fixed the screen ignored the laptop fan. Sent it back in again for 2 more weeks. Now asus has had my laptop as long as I have had this laptop. Wait for it to come back. It comes back BROKEN AGAIN. New issuse, laptop refuses to connect to any wifi not even sure they fixed the fan. Everything else i have connects to wifi laptop just can't. Had to hard reset the computer 4 times to get wifi to work again. Now i sit here waiting for the next time it breaks. If i could return this pos i would. Do not get this laptop get something else save your money for something better. Will update when this breaks again.Edit: about a year later and once again this laptop is having another major hardware issue which requires me to send it into Asus for A month again. Clearly this computer is very poorly made. DO NOT GET IT Don't even buy from Asus at this point they really do not care to make good products it seems. BTW the Wifi card is what is failing this time. How after only like a year ?? I have no Idea. its a 1.500 dollar peice of trash computer. Never getting Asus again.Update 3 years later: Same parts of this laptop that have previously broken are now broken again ( wifi card and fan) Do not get this 1,500 dollar paperweight.

After a lot of research, this is by fat the best bang fort he buck. Speeds are awesome and it handles everything thrown at it. My son is a big steam fan and this enables him to do what ever is needed.
