These are great quality hard cases, that perfectly fit the Sawyer Mini, the plunger, straw, and the 16 oz. bag that it comes with, or one 32 oz. Sawyer Mini bag. It does hold only ONE BAG, either the 16 or 32 ounce. Both fit equally well, but you can't get two bags in the case, if the Mini is in the case (I've tried! ;-)). I purchased extra 32 oz larger Mini bags, and just use those instead of the 16 oz. These cases are attractive, sleek, lightweight, and come with a nice carabiner and flat cord, to attach to a backpack or camping gear. I also keep a flat row of Aquatabs and a flat row of aqua Chlorine Dioxide in the case, just to have a nice selection of water purification alternatives, depending on the area that we camp. Laid out flat, they tabs fit nicely, tucked on the same side of the case that holds the 32 oz. bag. I would highly recommend this case. It is durable, and helps to protect the Sawyer Mini from getting crushed or damaged. I also use this case for small portable microscopes, and slides, as well, that the kids enjoy using. It is very well suited to protect anything similar.

It's a sturdy, firm little case. Fit my Sawyer mini and all it's stuff perfectly and is definitely an upgrade from the Ziploc baggie I was using before. Admittedly I don't backpack for days on end so I can't speak to the weight or packability for that. I keep mine in my camp out bag with other essentials I may need on the road for work when doing planned or sometimes unplanned overnights and camping out of a truck who knows where. At least if I get stranded for a bit and there's a water source nearby I can at least filter some water to heat up on my jetboil and make me a freeze dried meal and have something to drink and I don't have to worry about damage to my filter or bag getting squished bouncing around the truck.

It is definitely an upgrade from the zip lock bag I was using. A Super hard case and great quality. One could potentially use this for just about anything.I struggled a bit getting the pieces to fit of my Sawyer Mini in it mostly because the bag that came with my sawyer mini has a hard screw top on it and there wasn't a good way to close the case without that hard piece getting in the way of either the Sawyer or the flushing syringe. I did finally get the case to close and zip. I feel like 15. 00 maybe a bit steep for what it holds, but its a nice little addition to a prepping item that I hope I never have to use.

I had previously kept my filter in a ziploc bag, which works, but opens up the possibility for damage. I love this little case. It's solid and I can keep everything together nice and neat. Super handy if you are a backpacker or just to toss in the truck. Just remember to let the filter dry before storing, if it freezes it's junk. My public service message for the day! :-)

When I opened the plastic wrap and looked inside the case NOTHING was in it!!!!!!!
