We use these to line the strainer when we make yogurt. They are the perfect size for about half a gallon. I use two in the strainer, and one on top.

Finally!! Some filters big enough to stop coffee grounds overflowing into my coffee! The shrink-flation of coffee filters is relatively new as I don't remember having this problem even three years ago. I've been using the same coffeemaker for about 8 years, so that tells it all. I've tried store brands, Melitta and Bunn brands. My picture shows the size comparison. Katy's Large Coffee Filters come all the way to the top of the filter holder. Granted, they are over-sized, but I push the filter down into the holder and press folds into the sides and, TA-DA! No problem with grounds.
