Before an after of Foundation.
This is a wonderful medium Matte Foundation that L'oreal has put out. I blended my foundation smoothly with my fingers an you can really see the beautiful shift in complexion. I give it 5 stars as it is really long wear!

Oily skin? No Holy Grail here
I had high hopes for Infallible Pro-Matte after reading great reviews and hearing friends rave about it. If you have normal skin that you *think* is oily because sometimes your forehead shines at the end of the day, you are going to love this foundation. If you have skin like mine that is *actually* oily 24/7 -- skin that melts your morning makeup by 11 AM -- skin that looks at an oil-spill-covered duck and says, "Hold my beer" -- well, keep looking. Various primers, powders and setting sprays did not help, either. So, as with Bigfoot and the Holy Grail, the search for an oily skin foundation continues.

I get the hype. Great for my oily skin.
I got this foundation because it had rave reviews from makeup artists who chose it as one of their all time favorite drug store foundations and I definitely see why. My skin is quite oily, so this drier foundation really helps to control that issue I have of my face melting off in humid weather. It doesn't sink into lines on my face, but if you have a little face fuzz, it will cling to it like your mustache is it's mother. That is the only big downside, other than that, the only other bad thing I can think of to say is that it dries faster than I'd like it to while applying. That could just be because of how I apply it myself, but I found that using a damp beauty blender helps spread the product more efficiently without it drying before I can get it where it needs to be.The color was right on point, and doesn't have that strange pinky-orange tint that a lot of foundations I tend to buy usually have. It blended pretty seamlessly with my super pale/translucent type skin tone, and the coverage was great for my blemishes I tend to get around my jaw line and mouth/chin area It's a great, long lasting foundation, and the packaging is nice to look at on my cosmetic organizer. I will be buying again, even though it looks like I won't have to buy it too often, because one application lasts me 8+ hrs...I don't know about 12, but 8 is good in my book, anyway.I included a before/after picture (naked face with blemishes vs. Loreal Infallible Pro Matte foundation)

This product is just as good or better than those high priced products at beauty counters. My makeup artist actually is the person that introduced me to this product. I'm a singer in a band and I need to look great on stage...this product holds up and stays in place and feels amazing on my skin. I highly recommend it!

Accentuates every skin imperfection, and the shade selection is crappy
I heard the buzz about this foundation, and figured it would be good, since I'm super-oily. Nope. It's too matte, oxidizes slightly darker, and the shade selection is a big problem. If you try to scope the shades out in a brick-and-mortar store, all the tubes literally look the same. If you try to look online, even on the Loreal website, there are no helpful shade descriptions that tell you the undertone (pink, golden, neutral, etc), or whether the shade is meant for "light," "light-medium," "medium" et cetera skin tones. Why is this information not readily available? And yes, I DID try 2 different online foundation matrix tools---no dice.So picking my shade was a shot in the dark. For reference, I consider myself light-medium, and neutral-cool---I wear a Medium Beige in Bare Minerals, NC25 in MAC, and 020 Claire in Chanel Lift Lumiere. I picked the Pro-Matte 103 Natural Buff, and it's too peachy yellow for me. I can get away with it, but I'd feel awkward in broad daylight, because my face and neck would be too peachy compared to my body, and I think it would scream "Look at my foundation!"But shade aside, there are some issues with this foundation:1.) It's too matte to look natural. Matte foundations can be so aging---who needs that? A little bit of dewy luminosity looks more natural and skin-like. Wearing something this matte would make people stare at my foundation, rather than my face.2.) It dries very quickly, and you don't have a lot of time to buff things out with a foundation brush. If you take too long, even using a good foundation brush, it starts to lift the color back off your face, unevenly. Nightmare.3.) It oxidizes slightly as it dries. Admittedly, the 103 shade was already too peachy for me to begin with, but it got even peachier as it dried. In the photo below, it looks like I have a 5 o'clock shadow.4.) It accentuates every pore, flake of skin, and imperfection. ( I've gamely included some closeups below where you can see every bump, scar, and pore I have.)5.) Despite the fact that it's too matte, it separates and clumps in the oiliest areas of the face, such as the sides of the nose. (See photos.) I don't know how anyone could get "24 hr wear" out of thisOn the bright side, it's thin and fairly comfortable---so you don't FEEL like you have a face full of foundation. But you sure as hell LOOK like it.....This is definitely not the right foundation for me.

It completely hides blemishes and dark spots beautifully. The downside to this though is the formula ...
If you need full coverage this is the product for you. It completely hides blemishes and dark spots beautifully. The downside to this though is the formula does not allow for it to spread onto my face very easily and smoothly so when i take pictures (with flash) It was very patchy in certain spots but in other lighting it looked fine so It was very confusing what it actually looked like. Overall though I didn't return it because It looks great when shooting videos as long as you quickly apply and rub it in and having a blending brush helps if you wet it slightly and press the make up in.

Great if your skin gets oily during the day
I love this foundation! I have had problems in the past when I apply my foundation & powder and then 4-5 hours later my face is shiny. I usually have to reapply powder throughout the day to stay matte. With this foundation, the coverage is great without being cakey, and it stays matte all day long. Side note, a beauty blender makes its go on flawlessly & a damp beauty blender under the eyes makes it dry very smoothly if you are prone to creasing.

100% mask and transfer proof foundation !!!
I always loved the infalliable Pro-matt series. I used the old formula the shade in 105 natural beige, which is bit more yellow undertone. With the new formula and more shades I have switches to 104 golden beige more neutral undertone. Perfect shade, no transfer at all even with mask, waterproof, sweatproof. Lightweight on skin and beautiful matt finish. If you are like me I use the dewy setting spray for a more natural look. This foundation is way better than many high end foundations and much affordable !!

I love this makeup
I love this makeup; have been using it for the past 6 months or so and it works well for my skin type (oily) and colour (fairly light). I didn't like their pro-glow line as much for my face because of my skin being so oily, but the pro-matte ones work a lot better for me. I've been using the Shell Beige, 102, and bought more of that, but also am trying out the classic ivory, 101, and seeing if that works better for me in the winter, or perhaps mixing the two would work as well.

Favourite Foundation
I highly recommend this product. I have quite the makeup collection and I actually prefer this foundation over higher end brands like Hourglass and Makeup Forever. This product is very pigmented and can be considered medium to full coverage as it's very buildable. Additionally, the formula is matte as it claims, and does not require a setting powder to last all day.
