I was never prepared to pay for having my nails done, so have also done them myself. However, during lockdown I wanted to try gel nails, which is something I'd never done before. I did my research on YouTube and forums and there was a repeated pattern of Beetles gel nail polish receiving good reviews. I purchased this Manhattan colour range and I've not been disappointed. The instructions were clear, but more importantly the polishes have been simple to use, with good coverage and vibrant colours. I used thin coats and for the darker tones, two coats was enough, however I used three for the lighter colours, but this is really down to personal preference. The pack came with base, top and matt coats included and again I have no complaints. I was not expecting the polish consistency to be as thick as they are, but this just means you can afford to use less when applying each thin coat. I was initially disappointed with the small size of the polish bottles (.17fl.Oz), but again the thickness means a small amount goes a long way, plus you get a varied range of colours to try. There was no strong smells and unlike normal polish, because you have to cure it (using a LCD/UV lamp), you can take your time and clean up as you go along resulting in a neat, tidy finish. There was no chipping or lifting even with all the day to hardships our hands go through, and the only reason I removed the polish was because my nails grew. I have become obsessed with the Beetles range and made my brother 'voluntarily' purchase me the Bare collections range for my birthday! Nice packaging makes for easy, secure storage and I think it's reasonably priced.

I was pleasantly surprised by these gel polishes. It's not a brand I usually use and was unsure but they are absolutely brilliant! My gel nails usually last 3 to 4 days if I'm lucky, after trying these for the first time I knew straight away they were going to last longer and they did. They apply smoothly. A week on and they still look fab apart from the gap where my nails are growing out but that's to be expected. There was no peeling, no chipping and the selection of colours are excellent. I'm not going back to my other brand, I'd highly recommend these. If you know how to prepare your nails before applying the gel and cure for the correct amount of time etc then these will last for a good amount of time. Very happy and ill be ordering more colours in the future.

Having used many brands of gel polish, I am always looking for a good alternative to expensive brands and beetles is just that. Beetles rivals even some of the top brands.I have used their base/top coat on cheaper brands and find it has kept them in place 2-3weeks. I do think it doesn’t matter the brand provided the base and top coat is good. The top, base and matte top are all 7.5ml and the colours are 5ml.I was drawn to this batch due to the rainbow colours and it did not disappoint when it arrived. The colours are pigmented and the glitters are rich and full.I was immediately drawn to the rose gold and even when spreading it creates a perfect full glitter nail instead of having to adjust when applied.I LOVE the fact it comes with a tray for holding them, making transportation easy. I can’t wait to experiment.

Colours are beautiful and I’ve worn 3 sets so far that have all lasted 2 weeks, probably could’ve gone longer if my application was better so they did start to peel at the free edge. They cure fast and the finish is great.Only dislike is that the colour of the polish is on the top but that’s just preference as I have kept them in the box so when I get an organiser it won’t be a problem.

The colour range in this product is immense. There are all sorts of shades and colours. This is perfect for someone like me in which I need access to a large range of colours at any given time. This is a very cost-effective way to do it.The gel applies beautifully, very easy to create designs with. The opacity is perfect also. Some of the lighter colours may be a little streakier, but no more than any other gel brandThe gel has great staying power and longevity. (I do use a higher quality top coat from a different brand)

Some of these varnishes I’d give 5 stars others I’d give 1 hence the 3 star review.I wanted to like these as they’re soooo many colours, choices and options but I think I’m going to try a different brand.Firstly some of the colours are beautiful and glide on perfectly but then most of them are either so runny they drip off the nails or so thick they are difficult to even get out of the bottle. I’ve tried numerous things to try and get them all to the right texture and nothing works. And the brushes on these are shedding terribly which is another big issue I was having trying to work with them.The base and both top coats are lovely tho and will definitely use them along with the few colours that are working :)
