Double the size of the Hitachi branded 3 Ah but does the job at a good price.

It was not bad when areived. Still hold charge quite a long. But side lock buttons are worn already (less than 3 months) and sometimes battery unclip from impact gun and can fall on floor. Unsafe.

Perfect replacement

2nd revision: brand-new genuine hikoki charger shows this as overheating even after sitting overnight. The circuitry in these batteries is very dodgy and I’m pretty sure this battery fried my original hitachi charger and possibly contributed to burning out the motor on a circular saw. Can’t prove any of it but in 15 years of using hitachi tools the only 2 failures I’ve had coincide with this battery which now won’t charge and is getting returned… go figure!Previous revised review:These batteries are ok for light-duty drill/driver use but frankly dodgy for impact driver/circular saw - high current loads.They get very very hot. I’ve bought 2 random Amazon brand batteries and ?coincidentally my original genuine hitachi charger has fried.On a new genuine Hikoki charger the status indicators with these batteries are all over the place: it can’t tell if they are overheated/faulty/full/charging.On the circular saw they overheat after 10 mins but still show full charge.Better on impact driver but still dodgy.Ok On drill.You get what you pay for but as far as quality control goes these are down there with £1 iPhone chargers

Does the job perfectly and good value

Poor quality battery. Not even 12 months old and it wint hold xharge.Very disappointed.

A good replacement for the old battery larger than the original so lasts longer overall well pleased.
